My hair has been though the mill! I've coloured it and coloured it and coloured it some more, I straighten it without using any heat protection spray! I dry it and style it and then go to bed and toss and turn and wake up with birds nest on my head! The result is dull, lifeless hair, with split ends. A good cut always sorts my ends out but I also like to give my hair an extra boost of goodness to get it looking and feeling good again. I've always used the intensive conditioners that come in a round tub from Pantene but when I spotted this on the shelf in Superdrug I decided to give it a try.
It's a 2 minute intensive repair masque suitable for normal to thick hair that promises intensive hydration and protection for your dry/damaged hair. The rich repairing intensive treatment contains micro-nourishers helps to lock in moisture deep down. It helps to protect your hair against future styling damage leaving it healthy-looking and shiny.
Directions: Use to deeply repair your hair for beautifully healthy looking hair. Apply into damp hair beginning from the tips and massage upwards. Let the rich formula work for 2 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
I like to use this in the bath after I've washed my hair. depending on how much of an intensive treatment my hair needs I'll either use it as a one off treatement instead of my usual conditioner after washing my hair or as well as my conditioner. In tha case I'll wash and condition my hair and then use this as a 3rd treatment. It's not something I use everyday either, I like to use it a few times a month or if I just notice my hair looking and feeling damaged. I simply flip the lid and squeeze out the amount I want, I have very long hair so I like a good blob of it so that all of my hair is covered. I use the same amount I'd use for a normal conditioner. It's a nice thick rich consistency and I rub it onto both hands then massage it through my damp clean hair. I like to make sure I work it right through from root to tips then I pile my hair on top of my head and relax back in the bath. It says to leave it on for two minutes but I'll often leave it on for a little longer while I relax in the bath. Rinsing this out it quick and easy and as I run my hands over my hair making sure it's rinsed I can really feel how silky and soft my hair is.
Once dry my hair is a lot shiner than normal, that dullness has gone and it's also a lot smoother. It feels like all those broken bits have been smoothed down. I don't notice any scent of the conditioner on my hair after it's dry which is a bit of a shame. I wouldn't say the results last very long, after a wekk of my normal routine my hair looks the same as it did before but it's a nice treat for me and my hair. I like pampering myself and it would be nice to use before a special night out to give your hair that extra radiance.
Available in Boots or Superdrug £4.69 for 200ml
I'm a sucker for hair masks and intensive conditioning treatments. I love applying a product which feels indulgent and leaving it on my hair for a few minutes to do its work, especially if it smells particularly good. This is despite the fact that experience tells me they rarely make much of a difference to my hair. Just as well then, that I got a free full size sample of the Pantene 2 Minute Intensive Repair Masque.
The masque comes in a few different varieties for different types of hair; I had the one for fine hair, as my hair is very fine and rather fragile. Unlike many products of its type, the Pantene masque comes in a tube rather than a tub. Speaking practically, this is a lot easier to use than a tub when you're in the shower, but I did rather miss digging a dollop of the stuff out of a tub. The tube is pretty flexible, and it's easy to squeeze every last drop out of it.
The Pantene 2 Minute Intensive Repair Masque tells you a lot about itself in its name. You leave it on your hair for two minutes, which is quite short for an intensive hair mask. But very convenient - it meant I could use it on weekday mornings rather than only at weekends, without having to allow for extra time in the shower.
The masque is applied through your hair from root to tip, and then you leave it on. When using products like this I tend to wind my long hair over my head and then basically "stick" it there using the product, but that makes no difference to its effectiveness, it just means that I don't accidentally rinse it off the ends before time.
In terms of the effectiveness of the Pantene 2 Minute Intensive Repair Masque, I can't say I noticed any difference in my hairs condition. It was softer and sleeker when dry than if I use regular conditioner, but there were no long term benefits, as I would expect from a product with "intensive" and "repair" in its name. My hair was no stronger, thicker or with less split ends than before using the Pantene masque, even after I had used the whole tube.
When I use a hair mask or intensive treatment, I like to feel like I am indulging myself a bit, and I didn't get this feeling from the Pantene masque. It was a nice product to use, a bit thicker than average conditioner, but the fact that it came out of a tube and that it only needed two minutes on my hair, meaning it wasn't just a weekend treat, made it feel a bit more ordinary than most hair treatments. Of course it was good that I could use it anytime rather than just at weekends when I have more time, but it did diminish its "treat" factor.
All things considered, I probably won't buy the Pantene 2 Minute Intensive Repair Masque now that I have finished the free tube I had. It was nice to use, but it didn't feel special and it had no noticable effects on my hair, so I will probably continue my hunt for something which does have an effect on my hairs condition - and which feels more indulgent.
I always have a Deep Conditioning product in the house. I always have visions that I will use it once a week - in my mind on a sunday when I have a bath, but I don't get round to soaking in a bath these days let alone using a product like this. I do get round to using this product more than I make it into a Bath - Showers are just so much easier time wise.
Not that long ago there was an offer in Asda where there was an offer of 3 for £10 on the Pantene range and this covered the large bottle of Shampoo and Conditioner as well as products like this. I do like the Pantene range so I thought why not to get the Shampoo and matching Conditioner that I use and this was my choice of 3rd product.
This is designed more for Thick or normal Hair. I have Thick Hair which I think is probably a bit dry as it is a bit fizzy at times. I have to say it can look pretty sleek after I have straightened it and I don't think you can notice the Frizz once my Hair has been styled. The Frizz is more the reason that I end up getting products like this as I like to give my Hair a bit of a deep down Condition.
After reading the back of this it states that this Nourishes deep down and locks in Moisture which sounds good for dry and out of condition Hair.
You use this on damp Hair. Just apply this all over your Hair - I wouldn't recommend putting this right up to your Scalp though, but that is usually the case with any conditioning products due to your Scalp producing Oil. Just leave this on for a few minutes and then rinse out again. The scent of this is nice and fresh and the scent lingers on your Hair after it has been dried.
This comes in a 200ml tub and costs around £4 normally. Since this is in a tub then it is easy to scoop the Cream out of this Tub. The Cream is a medium thickness so easy to apply without it running off your palm.
So how do I find that this works on my Hair? I find this to work alright on my Hair. It does seem to soften deep down and I find that my Hair looks soft and shiny. It is easy to brush through after and although this was the 1st time that I had bought this I am quite impressed with the results. A little of this goes a long way too so it works out ok price wise too.
A good deep down Conditioner which I will buy again.
I recently received a freebie from Pantene for their 2 minuet intensive repair masque for normal to thick hair, ideal as my hair is thick and I'm afraid that like a lot of ladies I don't treat it very kindly. I straighten my hair at least once a day, always use the hairdryer to dry it and have it regularly hi lighted. All that heat and bleach takes it out of my hair so now and then I like to try and give it a little bit off care in return.
My sample came in a green and gold sachet, the same colours as the full size pot. The masue promises to lock in moisture deep down with the help of micro-nourishers. It promises to help protect your hair against further damage and keep it looking healthy and shiny.
The actual masque is white in colour and has a lovely fresh floral scent. It has quite a thick consistency and certainly feels nice and creamy on my hands. I followed the instructions and applied the masque to my damp hair from the roots up until all my hair was coated then sat back and waited the required 2 minuets. Once the time had passed I ran my fingers through my hair and it was certainly smooth and tangle free. The masque rinsed from my hair easily and quickly and I dried my hair as normal.
Once my hair was dry I was surprised at how silky soft the product had left it, from tip to root there was absolutely no sign of dryness at all. I was very impressed. The smell of the repair masque had totally gone but this is fine with me, I like to smell of my perfume so I'm happy with hair products that leave no smell.
I certainly think the masque worked in respect of my hair looking and feeling good, as for repairing, well the dry ends of my hair definitely felt soft and moisturised but as for split ends I'm not so sure, I personally think the only way to really sort split ends is to have the cut of but hopefully this product will help prevent them in the future. Time will tell.
On the whole I would definitely recommend the Pantene 2 minuet deep repair masque, it left my hair really soft, in fact almost too soft as I struggled to keep it tied up for the gym, my hair band just kept slipping out. I also noticed in the mornings my hair was totally snaffle free, it has also improved the dry ends of my hair too.
Pantene 2 minuet deep repair masque costs £4.49 for a 100ml pot in Superdrug and I for one will definitely be buying one.

The 2 Minute Deep Repair Masque by Pantene is an intensive conditioner that has been designed for those with normal to thick hair. It promises to give an intense hydration and extra resilience for your dry or damaged hair. It claims to repair and nourish hair while locking in moisture and to protect hair from extra damage, leaving it healthy and shiny.
How do you use the product?
The product needs to be applied to damp hair although the packaging doesn't specify whether your hair needs to have been washed first. You are directed to massage the product into the hair from the tips upwards and then you need to leave the product on the hair for two minutes. Once the time is up, you can rinse your hair thoroughly and then dry and style your hair as normal.
Packaging and Price
The product comes in both a bottle and in a tub. The tub is a forest green and it has a screw top lid with a golden top. The gold lid also flips open so you can decide which of the two openings you prefer to use. There is some extra information about the product and the ingredients have been listed too.
The product will cost you around £4 and for that money you will get 200ml of the conditioner. It can be bought from many stores such as Boots, large supermarkets and also from many online websites.
The conditioner has a fresh scent that smells lovely and clean. It has a hint of fruitiness but doesn't smell like anything in particular like many of the Pantene products.
The product has a deep white colour and a thick, rich consistency. It coats the hair easily and it makes you feel like it's doing a good job. It feels comfortable on the hair although it does make the hair feel a little bit slimy when the product is still on.
The product doesn't need to be left on the hair for very long and it can be washed off after two minutes, unlike other products of its type which needs to left on the hair for closer to ten minutes. This means that you can give your hair a treatment in a short amount of time.
When the two minutes is up, the conditioner is easily washed out. When dried, I wasn't overly impressed with the results of the product. It has hydrated my hair but it has also made it quite flyaway. It doesn't add much shine and it doesn't leave the hair with much volume.
On the plus side, my hair doesn't become tangled and it is easy to brush. It feels very soft to the touch and it doesn't get greasy quickly. It looks fairly healthy but overall all the results are not very impressive to me and I have had much better results from similarly priced products.
All in all, there's nothing wrong with this product but equally there isn't anything impressive that you wouldn't get with an average conditioner. I definitely wouldn't repurchase the product and probably won't even finish off the pot that I have. This is not an impressive product by Pantene.
