Pantene 2 Minute Intensive Repair Masque When I have a nice relaxing soak in the bath I like to leave conditioner in my hair for as long as possible to give it an intensive treatment every now and then. Having dyed hair and being a hair straightener addict my hair definitely needs a good conditioner. The Product The Pantene 2 Minute Intensive Repair Masque comes in a large round plastic tub. The tub is a nice shiny turquoise colour with a golden lid. The tub lid untwists but the gold top section also lifts up to reveal the cream inside, I think you are supposed to open it this way but I find it snaps my nails! The tub has the Pantene branding with a gold strip and some product information across the front and the back has more detailed ingredients and usage information. This intensive masque is made for Normal to Thick hair types and is described as an intensive hydration and resilience for dry and damaged hair. The product contains micro-nourishers which are meant to help to lock in moisture and protect your hair against styling damage and make it look shiny and healthy. The Intensive Repair Masque The Pantene 2 minute hair masque is a thick creamy gel like texture which wobbles slightly like jelly. The cream has an amazing salon smell to it, which is slightly fruity and very rich and intense. This smell stays with you whilst the masque is on and after you have rinsed the product off. Once you have washed your hair with shampoo you apply the masque going from the tips and massaging the cream up into your roots. The cream is very supple and easy to apply but not so much that it slides off your hand before you can get it onto your hair. The instructions state that you should leave this masque on for 2 minutes and then rinse off, however I sometimes leave this on for 30 minutes plus whilst I am soaking in the bath. I do not if it does any better a job on my hair but it can't do any harm! After rinsing the cream off my hair smells and feels beautiful. Once dry my hair is noticeably more shiny and conditioned and feels much healthier to the touch. SO I can certainly recommend and vouch for this 2 minute intensive masque from Pantene. It is a great weekly boost that I like to treat my hair to. A 200 ml tub of this intensive repair masque currently costs £4.49 in Tesco, this will last me a couple of months using it once a week and as such I think it is a good purchase for a nourishing hair masque.
I've always had long thick hair that is prone to frizz so I'm always on the look out for something to help tame it. I died my hair (permanently) a while back and that caused severe dryness in my ends. I really wanted to find something that would help get my hair shiny and smooth again. I've had plenty of experience with Pantene products. My grandma and mother both use Pantene shampoo religiously. As a child my hair was always washed with Pantene. However as I got older I realized that Pantene wasn't that great for my hair. The green Pantene caused my hair to fall out. Naturally this kind of scared me away from Pantene products however I heard good things about this masque so I was willing to give it a try. This masque is quite expensive at £4.69 from Boots. However Boots do have an offer on at the moment, hair care is buy one get one half price. The packaging of this product is horrible. It took me a while to get the hang of opening it and the instructions weren't particularly helpful. There is an indent where you have to push the lid up whilst making sure you hold the tub securely. It does take a few attempts but if you are really struggling you can just unscrew the lid which I tend to do most of the time. After opening the tub you have to peel away some silver foil to get to the product. The product smells amazing. It has that typical 'Pantene smell' but better and sweeter. I love it. The masque is a lovely shiny white colour of a medium consistency. The consistency is a bit thinner than most hair masques. After shampooing, I take a good £2 sized dollop in my hand and spread it evenly throughout my hair with my fingers. I avoid my roots as I'm paranoid that its going to make my hair even more greasy! I leave the product in my hair for 2 minutes like it says on the packaging. As I am washing off the masque, I can feel that my hair is so much softer and smoother. The masque washes off really easily and I am left with such soft hair. The scent lingers for ages which I love. It also really helps with frizz so my hair is a lot more manageable. My previously dry ends are now moistured and smooth, I also recently noticed that it helps to reduce the appearance of split ends which is an added bonus! In conclusion I was pleasantly surprised with this product and I will definitely repurchase as it does what it says on the tin!
I have always invested a fair amount of time and money in relation to my long and thick hair by using quality products and visiting my hair salon for regular trims. Whilst my hair type can be described as normal, unfortunately, the ends are prone to dryness, particularly as I use home colorants and heated appliances. For as long as I can possibly remember, I have used intensive hair treatments, which provide an additional moisture boost. As I enjoy trying and testing out new products I was intrigued to discover 2min Deep Repair Masque manufactured by Pantene, which is suitable for normal to thick hair with this review discussing my experience with using. I must admit that my experience with Pantene is somewhat limited, as it's probably been more than twenty years since I last purchased one of their shampoos or conditioners. It was the name of the product that attracted my attention, as it gave me the impression that it would be quick to use and offer quality results to my hair. The 200 ml tub style packaging is very appealing to the eye with its refreshing vivid green colour and co-ordinating touches of gold. Over the years I have had a fair amount of experience with using hair masques, which all tend to offer the same style of packaging where we are presented with a screw top lid. I found the packaging for this product to be quite bizarre, as there is a small lip on the edge of the upper section of the tub with a few diagrams contained on the lid and my initial impressions were that I would need to flip up the lid to reveal the contents. However, the illustrations were merely directing the consumer to unscrew the lid and remove the protective foil covering by way of the small tab. The foil was easily removed to reveal the pure white contents, which offered the most stunning floral aroma, which reminded me of the quality products used in hair salons. As directed I applied the masque onto my damp hair working from the tips to the root, but due to the consistency being a little thinner than other brands I have used, I found that splodges were dropping onto the base of my shower cubicle. Consequently, I needed to use smaller amounts as opposed to applying a big dollop. I favoured the fact that the refreshing floral aroma deepened as I massaged the product into my hair whilst paying particular attention to the tips. As the product name would suggest, the masque has been designed to intensively repair the hair within two minutes due to the inclusion of micro-nourishing properties, which are claimed to lock in moisture and subsequently protect the hair against future styling damage. I found the masque easy to rinse away and despite it being described as rich, there was no feeling of greasiness or sticky residue lingering in my hair. I love the texture of my hair following the use of intensive conditioning treatments, as I was able to witness the velvety soft smoothness when running it through my fingers. I have found that some hair masques cause my hair to become a little flyaway, but I cannot speak of this issue whilst using and I was able to style as normal with my hair feeling lightweight. Despite the masque coating my hair for only two minutes, its quality ingredients are highly effective at preventing frizz and combating dryness with both the texture and appearance of my hair offering a noticeable difference. Whilst the masque initially offers the most stunning floral aroma, unfortunately, the scent is very delicate after rinsing although I cannot admit to this being much of an issue, particularly as the scent is soon covered with my styling products. Due to the my hair being long and thick a 200 ml tub of hair masque tends to last me for around ten uses and as this product only needs to be on the hair for two minutes I used it twice a week. I was totally satisfied with my purchase although I would have preferred the consistency of the masque to have been a little thicker. However, this is definitely a product that I will repurchase again in the future when my existing supply of masques has been exhausted. In addition to offering highly effective results, Pantene 2min Deep Repair Masque is very affordable when making a comparison with other brands with Boots charging £4.69. Furthermore, they are currently running a mix and match promotion where you can make three purchases from the vitamins, hair care and cosmetics range and pay for only two. However, there is an error on their website, as this masque is listed as containing 100 ml when in fact it contains 200 ml. For some reason, the same error has been made with a number of their hair care products. Due to the consistency I feel it appropriate to remove one star and I hope you found my review useful and thanks for reading.
