      Very helpful

A good treatment but not something I would buy

A while ago I received some free samples from Pantene including a few intensive treatment samples, one of which was a 2 minute nourishing treatment that was designed especially for fine hair, which is my hair through and through! This intensive treatment can also be bought for people with other hair types as well, and in fact I think the tube pictured at the top is for a different hair type, as my sample is in gold packaging.

Pantene is a brand that I am not that fussed on to be honest. I don't always think it is worth the higher price tag, and have found many of the cheaper shampoos etc to do the job just as well, however I would buy their products when on offer. I also like the fact that they have started designing products for particular hair types such as fine or thick hair, as that is my biggest problem having fine, limp hair that is in desperate need of some body and volume.

My hair is generally in good condition, but every so often I do use a conditioner, especially since it is being straightened everyday. Despite having this sample for I while it was only recently that I had time to use it - mornings are a bit of a rush with a baby in toe! This conditioning treatment claims to be lightweight and fortifies fine hair against damage, and then rinses away leaving 'virtually no weight'.

After washing my hair, I followed the instructions on the sample and applied this to my damp hair, massaging from the tips upwards, which was tricky, before leaving it on for 2 minutes. After the 2 minutes was up, I rinsed it out thoroughly, which I found to be easy to do. When I went to brush through my wet hair, there was no tangles, which I always think it a good sign. After I had blowdryed my hair, I felt that it looked in good condition, and looked healthy. My fine hair felt very soft as well.

It is difficult to monitor how much nourishing it has done to my hair, as it wasn't in terrible condition to begin with, but I do think that it left it looking healthy and I fell it has helped protect it from the damage that it does undergo from daily straightening. I was disappointed that it didn't leave my hair with more body since it was designed for fine hair, however, this product doesn't claim to offer body/volume, so I can't really say this is a big downside, I guess I was just hoping that it would help with the volume of my hair.

All in all, although this was only a sample product and I felt that it protected and helped my hair, I don't think I would purchase a whole tube of this, as my hair is generally in good condition. However, if your hair isn't in great condition then this is worth a try.
