A few weeks back, I popped into my local Pound Land as I was in need of a few haircare products. I spotted a bottle of Pantene Pro - V Blonde Expressions conditioner and decided to give it a try along with the matching shampoo.
Pantene blonde expressions conditioner is presented in a shiny gold plastic bottle which stands on its flip lid. The front of the bottle shows the brand logo along with the product name. The back of the bottle gives general information including ingredients list, general warnings and usage directions. Once opened the product should be used within twelve months.
The conditioner itself is dark yellow in colour and of a nice consistency which is neither too runny or too thick. It has a rather generic clean conditioner fragrance, which I find rather boring but fairly unoffensive. The smell lingers in the hair for quite sometime.
This conditioner has been specifically created for both natural and colour treated blonde hair, its gentle formula means it is also suitable for using on permed hair. Pantene claim that this conditioner will nourish the hair whilst reinforcing its "unique structure", it will also help protect damaged hair. They also promise it will leave dull blonde hair brighter with more tone, depth and intensity.
I used this conditioner after first using the matching shampoo. I squeeze a small blob of the conditioner onto my palm before gently massaging it into my hair, paying particular attention to the ends. Pantene suggest leaving it on for 2-3 minutes but I tend to leave it on longer than that, perhaps 5-8 minutes. I then wash the conditioner out, it washes out easily leaving no unwanted sticky residues on the hair. I dry my hair as usual.
After using the conditioner my hair is left feeling soft and well moisturised. I find that my hair is certainly more manageable and easy to brush and style. My colour treated blonde hair is certainly left looking brighter, more vibrant and with a added healthy looking shine. Of course I cannot be 100% sure that the conditioner does protect damaged hair as promised but I would say that my hair is left feeling a little stronger and less prone to breakages.
I was quite impressed with this conditioner especially as I picked it up for just £1. I would certainly recommend it to those with blonde hair looking for a conditioner which protects and brightens.
