Advantages: Works well, Lasts a long time

Disadvantages: Smells a bit like an old fashioned hairdressers

Since my hair is now so short it's rare that I use hair spray, but when I do, it's Pantene Pro V that I use.

I have never liked using hairspray ever since I used to go and have my hair done at the hairdressers many moons ago and they would insist on dousing me with what seemed like gallons of a sticky mixture which didn't only hold my style in place it set it rock solid (or so it seemed!) Hurricanes wouldn?t have moved my hair!

I'm happy to say that hairsprays have moved on somewhat since those days! Who remembers the adverts on TV for Harmony Hair Spray? You know the ones where people would be looking at the girl wearing the Harmony walking through the park and asking one another, 'Is she or isn?t she?' because her hair looked so natural.

Well this is the way that hairsprays have moved in the years since I used to go to the hairdressers. Now the spray tends to be much finer and a lot less sticky so it holds the hair in place without setting it in stone! Now, when that special someone runs his hands through your hair, he won't risk breaking his fingers! Dream on girls!

Anyway - why Pantene Pro V? There's an easy answer to that - my mom bought it for me as part of a Christmas present! That said I am very impressed with this product.

The one that I have is the Pantene Pro V Flexible Hairspray, Maximum Hold, with Elastesse - whatever that is!

I'm sure you all know how to use hair spray but just in case you don't I'll tell you. You just style your hair as you want it and then hold the can about 25 to 30 cm away from your head and spray a fine mist onto your hair. This will hold the style in place but will look and feel quite natural.

The smell of this product isn't anything special, in fact I would describe it as a typical hairdresser hairspray smell if you know what I mean! The good thing is that the smell soon disperses and doesn't interfere with any perf
ume that you may be wearing.

The one thing that you have to be REALLY careful about is the fact that hairspray is extremely flammable so don't spray it near to any lighted candles or you could go out in a blaze of glory!

The can of Pantene that I have is the 75ml size and is about the same size as a spray of Impulse perfume, so it will fit easily into a decent sized handbag. As I am one of these people who carries a large bag a full of all sorts of things this is no problem for me!

Since it was a gift I can't accurately say how much it cost but I would guess at about £1.75 or thereabouts.

So now you can hold your style and have people wondering 'Is she or isn?t she?' if they?ve got nothing better to do with their time that is!

Clever title! It's years since I used hairsprays, but my 11 year old daughter does.

Not a lover of hair sprays but they are necessary at times. Firm but gentle, what could be better! Kay

I suppose if I wanted a more balanced opinion I could always read the company's press releases.
