Even though I am a big fan of the Herbal Essence and TIGI hair products, sometimes if I see another product on offer, I will buy it just to try it out. I recently bought the Pantene Pro V Classic Care Shampoo and conditioner. I have already reviewed the shampoo and this is the review of the conditioner. What does the product do? The product promises to condition the hair deeply leaving it manageable and soft. It claims that it will bring out the shine of your hair making it look shiny and healthy. It will give the hair radiant vitality transforming dull hair into hair that has sparkle and life. Packaging and Price The conditioner is contained within a large white plastic bottle which looks the same as the shampoo so they make a nice set. Other than some colourful banding, the packaging is quite plain and simple. The bottle comes with a flip top lid which I can easily open and close even with wet and soapy hands. The product will usually cost you around £4 for 500ml of the conditioner but you can sometimes find it at a cheaper price or on an offer if you have the time to shop around. It can be bought from most large supermarkets, stores such as Boots or Superdrug, and also from a range of online websites. Application and Performance As with the shampoo, the conditioner doesn't come with much of an aroma. It does smell fresh and clean, if a little fruity, but it's delicate and isn't enough to offend or put anyone off using the product. The conditioner is pure white in colour and it has an thick consistency but it isn't as thick as most other conditioners that I have used. It is easy to work into the hair and it makes you feel like it is doing a good job at conditioning your locks. It doesn't irritate my scalp and it makes me feel completely comfortable. I leave the product for a few minutes to get to work and it is easily rinsed out of my hair once it is time to do so. My hair is easy to brush through so it removes all tangles. Once my hair has been dried, it definitely looks more healthy, even from the very first application. It has a really lovely shine to it and it looks a little bit less frizzy so I assume the product must be quite hydrating. My hair feels really soft and it has a nice fresh aroma to it. The product doesn't weigh down my hair or make my hair look flat. It doesn't make my hair greasy and I can go 48 hours before I feel the need to be washing my hair again. The only problem with this product is that the conditioner claims to give you healthy looking hair instead of actually giving you healthy hair. This makes me think it's coating your hair with something to make it shine instead of actually nourishing the hair. Conclusion All in all, this is a lovely fresh smelling conditioner which leaves my hair looking healthy and really very shiny, and feeling soft. It doesn't weigh down the hair or make it look greasy, and it doesn't tangle my hair. If I saw this on offer, I would probably repurchase and I will happily continue to use the bottle that I have.
I bought this conditioner a while ago as thought it would be nice to make my hair shine. My daughter uses it and says it's nice but sadly I was disappointed, it made my hair feel greasy and I didn't notice any shine in particular. The bottle is the shape of a typical Pantene Conditioner and it's easy to get it out as it sits upside down so even when you're running out you can still get the conditioner out. It is quite thick and I found I only needed to use a small amount. I used about the size of a 10p, no more, and ran it through my hair. It seemed to spread through my hair quite well, I didn't need any more and then I rinsed. It took a while to get it out, it seemed to stick to each strand of hair and then when I dried it it still felt as though somethig was stuck in my hair. The result wasn't really of shine but more of hair that looked heavy and actually quite greasy! This is not something you'd want when you've just washed your hair! I tried it a couple of times again in case I hadn't rinsed it off properly but it does seem to just give this kind of effect and it really doesn't look good! I gave the bottle to my daughter who thinks it works better on her hair. I am disappointed, I don't wash my hair to then have it look heavy and greasy. I won't be buying this again for myself, it was just disappointing and a waste of money which is a shame as Pantene are usually very good.
Having bought the Pantene ice Shine shampoo and always using the corresponding products together I bought this conditioner from Tesco for £3.32 for a 400ml bottle. The bottle is white with a pearlised look to it, it stands on the ice blue flip top cap and has a transparent label on the fron which holds the information that this should transform tired dull hair and it is lightweight and suitable for all hair tyoes, you have of course also got the pantene logo on the front and the name of the shampoo. On the back of the bottle it asks the question "do you have hair that looks lifeless and lacks shine? My hair is always shiny but always feels a bit limp and lifeless so my answer is yes to one part of this, the bottle then says" but you want beautiful hair that's full of life shine and sparkle?" well lets face it who doesn't want the hair described? So basically the bottle is promising the above but can it deliver? Also on the back of the bottle is the instructions that you should use the shampoo to get rid of dirt and residue, the condtioner to smooth the surface of your hair and align them so they better reflect the light and the serum to improve the shine. The directions for use to apply form the root to the ends of the hair which i actually found strange as my hairdresser always says that it is only the ends of your hair that need conditioning. On opening the bottle the flip top lid is a little stiff great for keeping out my daughters little hands, the smell id the same as all other pantene products fresh and clean and the condtioner is white in colour and thick in consistency. The conditioner goes on the hair well and although it doesn't say too in the directions I tend to leave it on a minute or so before washing it off. The product rinses easily and there is no residue left behind, considering the shampoo had left my hair feeling like straw my hair felt pretty good after rinsing this out. After drying my hair didn't feel anyore lightweight than with other products I have used and the shiny was no better either, I had come to the conclusion that it wasn't any better or worse than the rest that was until the next day. I need to wash my hair once every two days and as a busy mother of two young girls i don't have time to wash it more than this, I was quite surprised to find that the day after washing my hair felt it needed washing again. My roots felt and looked greasy and my hair felt heavy, I am not impressed by the product and am only using it on a weekend when I fdo wash my haier both days or through the week if I know i won't be working on computers which give me a headache so can tie my hair up. I will not buy this again and think it is going to take me some time to manage to use up what I have got.
I quite often buy Pantene conditioner. Pardon the cliche but it seems to give me salon style at a price I can afford. Ice Shine, is a new version of the Pantene Conditioner. I must have missed all the adverts, as when I came across an end of aisle display in Tescos it was the first I had seen of them. I decided to try it for three reasons: so far all Pantene conditioner I have tried I have really liked, two it was on special offer, two large bottles (?) for three pounds. I knew from pervious experience that would last me some time. Finally, I liked the sound of the name. I have highlighted blonde hair and I really struggle to get a shine on it. Anything offering me shiney hair is worth a go! The conditioner comes in a tall white plastic container with a flat lid, which you can sit it upright on. This is good as all the product falls the the bottom making it easy to dispense even when there is very little left in the container. You don't end up wasting any. The conditioner doesn't have a strong scent, if anything it smells of hairdresser and salons, it is not scented with a strong fruit or sweet smell like some conditioners. Once I have washed my hair with shampoo I twoel dry it and apply a little (really really tiny bit) to my roots, this is to get my fringe and the front bits of my hair which I straighten, to lower split ends! I try and keep this minimal so that I don't make my hair to gready or heavy. I apply quite a bit more to the ends, and leave it to soak in the conditioner for about five minutes. I then wash it off. It seems to coat the hair quite heavily so requires quite a lot of rinsing, also to the back of my neck too, as it can cause spots otherwise. The conditioner leaves my hair nice and soft, easy to manage and feeling like it is in good condition. I'm afraid to say I didn't notice any extra shine (unfortunately) but I would still use it again as it was a good all round conditioner.
When I was young my hair was a great trial to me, I had mousy brown hair designed to withstand the cold Scottish climate . Think highland cattle or thick heather and you have an idea! I tried to grow it long and it would just reach a certain length, not long enough to do anything with and stop. When we ran off to sea in my twenties we had no money so my husband would cut it as short as he dared ,but my ears stick out and I ended up looking like a toothbrush with ears ,so that was not a huge success either! Now I am a little older and the mousy brown has turned to even thicker, stronger, denser grey. Any stronger and you could use it to build girders. It does not take hair dye well but I do bully it to try and go blond ish occasionally, usually it just bounces off after the maximum time but it does give it a bit of life! As you have probably guessed I avoid any conditioner that even murmurs, stronger, thicker, more body! But the hair desperately needs to be conditioned else I look like an extra for a crone in "Brave Heart" Enter Pantene Pro-V conditioner Ice shine. Designed to turn dull lifeless hair into Shiny, sparkling, hair it works a treat on my stubborn ,dour, tartan head. The conditioner comes in a white plastic container, almost wedge shaped, and stands easily on it´s lid which means the liquid comes out easily at all times when you flick the lid up . I t is also very easy for wet hands to hold. The front bears the Pantene pro-v logo in shades of blue and silver stating "new" and also a little diagram of the amino /pro-V formula doing it´s stuff. A bit like a school chemistry diagram! Under this in a lovely shade of turquoise blue is an ice cube and"ice shine for dry tired hair" On the reverse are two more litttle diagrams showing what you have ,dull lifeless hair "Thats me!" and what you want, Shiny, sparkling hair.! It also states that the advanced Pantene Pro-V Ice Shine conditioner formula contains the unique amino/Pro-V complex. It claims to improve hair condition and shine and leaves hair naturally reflective and sparkling with health smoothing and polishing the hairs surface with the silicone that it contains, non-stick hair! The quite thick ,white cream comes out of the container easily and is a pleasant light "clean" smell . I tend to put two dollops (technical term,) on to my freshly washed ,wet hair and massage it all through. I then try to wait a couple of minutes to give it a chance and rinse it off thoroughly. The Result If I have to have grey hair I shall have sparkly, shiny, grey hair! and this is what this product delivers. O:K: people do not have to shade their eyes from my sparkly head in the sun-light but it really does make a difference between boring grey blonde and shiny, sparkly silver, actually quite nice bits. It also makes my hair feel so much smoother and softer too which is quite a challenge. My Opinion. A job well done Pantene, I really recommend it to anyone particularly reluctant silver heads like me. Available in most supermarkets, around 2.95 for 200ml, 4.69 for400ml and can be used with their Ice Shine Shampoo. Made by Proctor and Gamble. 12months life span. Thankyou for reading my review which may also be posted on Ciao under Splishsplash
After trying several Pantene shampoos and conditioners years ago and finding them all to be rubbish I've avoided using any of their products for years, but when I saw the Ice Shine shampoo and conditioner on a half price offer I thought I'd give them a go. The 250ml bottle of conditioner was £1.50 on offer, making the usual price £3. The bottle it comes in is the usual Pantene style white plastic with a black flip top lid to make it more convenient to use. It stands on it's lid which makes it easier to get the conditioner out rather than having to spend ages squeezing it to the top of the bottle. It has a mid consistency for a conditioner, not too runny and not too thick, and the texture is very creamy and smooth. The smell is the same as the shampoo, light, fresh and clean. I don't need to use a lot o this to cover my hair and feel as though it's all thoroughly conditioned. It feels nice to massage in and it rinses out a lot more easily than most other conditioners I've used. After using it my hair feels much smoother but still clean and not greasy or loaded with product. After drying it feels really soft and smooth with no frizz or flyaways whatsoever. It doesn't weigh my fine hair down like a lot of conditioners do, leaving it feeling light and bouncy rather than greasy or lank. My hair looks really healthy but I can't say I've noticed any extra shine to my already very naturally shiny hair. Using this and the shampoo together seems to be having a great effect on my hair and keeping it in the best possible condition, so I'd definitely be happy to buy them both again. Very impressed!
I'm not too fussy when it comes to shampoo and conditioners and tend to be swayed by the offers at Superdrug or Boots when I walk in. However, having long hair, past my shoulders, that I wash and condition every other day, I use plenty of conditioner, roughly at a rate of 2:1 compared with shampoo so have tried most over the years. I tend to stear clear of own brand ones as I have found them lacking but will flit from branded product to branded product. One I often use and one of the most popular I believe is the Pantene range. This has a whole hosts of varieties, dealing with colour loss, straightening, bounce, volume and so one but this one Ice Shine is the one I tend to buy as with blond hair I don't have much natural shine to my hair. This conditioner promises to give me twice the shine of just shampooed hair. Not sure how good a claim that is as you tend to compare one conditioner with another, not with using nothing but there we are, that's advertising tricks for you. It is supposed to do this by flattening and aligning hair shafts. You can get this in two sizes, 250ml and 400ml. I get the big one as gram for gram it costs less and I use plenty. The 400ml is on offer for £2 at Superdrug I believe. Otherwise I often buy them on 2 for £5 offers. The bottle is quite simple and matches the rest of the range. It is white and turquoise and it has a big black cap at the bottom so helpfully all the product drains down. It's very easy to apply, it's soft and white and unlike some, can be spread through hair with ease. I tend to leave it as long as possible for it to be absorbed and then comb it through. After rinsing thoroughly, I rinse out with warm water, dry and straighten. The results are always good, my hair feels soft and fresh, but not noticeably different from other branded conditioners. Another one I often use, Herbal Essences, gives the same results but also smells great whereas this has no fragrance. In all, it's a nice enough conditioner, but I think brushing hair and straightening has the greater effect on shine.
I have been using Pantene shampoo and conditioner for a long time now. The only time I really stray from it is on the odd occasion where I have been tempted to try something new, or to treat myself to some Brilliant Brunette products by John Frieda when they are on offer. Pantene Smooth & Sleek shampoo and matching conditioner is my favourite Pantene product and remains my favourite affordable shampoo and conditioner. However, when I recently needed to buy some more I found that the Smooth & Sleek products were out of stock. Scanning the shelves I began looking at the other Pantene products and I was drawn to the Ice Shine shampoo and conditioner bottles. Pantene state Ice Shine conditioner contains conditioning agents that smooth the hair surface and align the hair fibres with each other, promoting amazing shine. After reading the product information I decided that Ice Shine may prove to be a suitable alternative to my favourite Smooth & Sleek, so I bought some. The reason I love Smooth & Sleek is the shiny, sleek feel it brings to my hair when I use it, so I was lured in by the promised amazing ice shine. So, was Ice Shine as good as Smooth & Sleek? Unfortunately not. Although I wasn't totally disappointed and have used far worse conditioners, I think because the results I get with Smooth & Sleek are so good, then it is a hard act to follow. I have long hair and as I use Smooth & Sleek I find as soon as I apply it and massage into my hair, my fingers effortlessly glide through it. After rinsing it out, my hair continues to feel smooth and tangle free. However, as soon as I began to massage Ice Shine conditioner into my hair, I found my fingers didn't exactly glide through my hair with this one. Ice Shine has a nice enough fragrance, but I ended up using more conditioner than usual just to try and achieve a tangle free, smooth effect. Whilst using a little more improved things slightly, I was still far short of my usual results and my fingers weren't gliding through my hair with ease. The conditioner has quite a thick consistency which didn't seem to distribute through my hair very easily, hence me using more to try and achieve a smoother feel. It did rinse out fairly easily though. To be honest when I set about drying my hair, I didn't hold out much hope of being happy with the overall result. My hair didn't feel as smooth whilst wet, so I wasn't optimistic about how it would look and feel when dried. This is where I was pleasantly surprised however, because as I began blow drying my hair it didn't feel as bad as I feared. Once dry, my hair looked and felt better than I expected. I wouldn't say my hair had an 'ice shine' exactly, nor would I say it was 'amazing', but it certainly didn't look dull. I would describe the result as a soft sheen. Whilst I much prefer the results I achieve using Smooth & Sleek, Ice Shine proved to be a half-decent alternative and one that totally surprised me. I have continued using this conditioner to use it up and whilst still not overly pleased with the application and feel of my hair when wet, I am fairly happy with the results when dry. I know I shall be sticking with my preferred Smooth & Sleek conditioner as long as it's available, as Ice Shine certainly has not tempted me away. However, if in future my preferred conditioner isn't available, I would buy this again. The price of Pantene products vary as they regularly appear on promotional offers in shops and supermarkets, such as buy 1 get 1 free etc. I bought my Ice Shine conditioner recently at Morrisons on a two large 500ml bottles for £4 offer.
I purchased the Pantene ice shine conditioner on a recent offer where I got any 2 for£3.00 so I opted for the ice shine shampoo and conditioner. If you have read my review regarding the ice shine shampoo then you will know that I wasn't very happy with the results when using the shampoo alone, that was until I tried it in conjunction with the conditioner. The ice shine conditioner comes in a white 200ml bottle that has a navy blue lid. The bottle is designed to be upside down which I like as all the product can easily be dispensed since it is already stood that way. The bottle makes the conditioner appear to be of good quality if judged by the packaging. The Pantene conditioner has the same scent as all the other Pantene shampoo and conditioners available and this scent in my opinion is somewhat floral and fresh and pleasant to use.I love how the conditioner scent lingers on the hair all day. I used the conditioner after applying the shampoo and I immediately felt my hair detangle. I rubbed the conditioner all over my hair and concentrated on the ends that are rather parched and dehydrated and after evenly coated I rinsed off. I was pleased that after rinsing my hair still felt detangled and it was a breeze getting the comb through without a single tat in sight. Drying my hair was extremely easy as the brush slid through with no hassle. I was also extremely pleased with the look of my hair even after one wash with both shampoo and conditioner my hair looked very clean and shiny all the way down to the ends. I have been using this range for a while now and I don't necessarily think that the products have gave me healthier hair within 10 days as the bottle advises as it doesn't feel any stronger but it does have a beautiful shine that I have been missing. Overall I would recommend this conditioner whether you use it with the ice shine shampoo or with another brand it is very nice and I think it's ideal as an everyday conditioner that gives added shine.
I use this in conjunction with the shampoo (see separate review). Again, this is marketed for dull, tired hair. Unlike the shampoo this does not come in a see through bottle but the stark white plastic is easy to spot on the shelf. I bought mine on a buy one get one free offer but when not on offer it retails at around £2.00 for 400 ml. The bottle stands on its (fliptop lid) which is always handy for dispensing the product easily and you know that you are not going to be wasting any! The colour of the conditioner is white and fairly thick and has a mild clean, fresh smell so nothing too overpowering here which is my preference. This 'high performance conditioner' purports to improve the general health of your hair in 10 days by stripping the hair of all dirt and any residue left by hair styling products etc. It works by smoothing the surface of the hair strands but also by aligning them in order to better reflect the light (not sure about that bit!). It does say to use this conditioner from root to tip but if you tend to get greasy hair at the roots (which I do) I would not recommend you use it there otherwise it can end up leaving your hair looking more greasy than shiny! This conditioner is quite thick and I have to use quite a lot of it in order to get my hair detangled so it doesn't last as long as the shampoo of which you only need a small amount. My hair once detangled and blow dried feels light, soft and does have a lovely shine to it. The most important element of a good conditioner for me is for it not to leave the hair weighted down at all and this product does tick that box for me. I don't rate the conditioner as highly as its shampoo counterpart (only because I have to use so much - it may be a a different story for you) but it does leave my hair soft and shiny and is fairly good value for money especially if bought on offer. Thanks for reading. x also on ciao under ryanellaxx
I bought this product a while back when my hair was feeling a bit frazzled from being in the sun in the summer (ha!) and I thought it needed a bit of TLC to bring it back to looking healthy again. I hadn't used Pantene for ages before I used this, and the first thing I noticed when I used it again was how much I LOVE the way it smells. It really is a lovely clean smell and lingers on your hair all day so you get odd little wafts of freshness. Lovely. The bottle was nice and easy to use, with quite a big flip top which always makes it easier, especially when you're in a hurry in the shower. The conditioner definitely made my hair nice and soft and conditioned it well, but I don't think it really made it all that shiny like it claims to do. I would however definitely recommend it as it makes hair soft and it's also relatively inexpensive.
As I have been using the Ice Shine shampoo I decided to buy the conditioner to go with this as I usually end up buying the 'sets' of shampoo and conditioner. This bottle is designed to stand on it's end which means that the conditioner is always going to be sitting at the bottom of the bottle ready to be dispensed whenever you want to use it. The bottle has a flip top lid which is fantastic and the dispenser is a reasonable size so that you can easily control the amount of conditioner that you pour out. The conditioner is white in colour, like most conditioners, and there really is no specific strong scent to this conditioner. The scent is just a clean & fresh smelling one that generally just makes me think of bog standard conditioner. I am happy with this though as I don't want something that smells sickly sweet and attracts wasps to my head for the rest of the day! I would say that this conditioner is very easy to apply and I have been applying mine, rubbing it in from root to tip & then leaving it to soak in for just a few minutes. Once I rinse off the conditioner I find that my hair is feeling soft, smooth and very manageable. I can easily run my fingers through my hair without finding lots of knots or tangles. My hair has been left lightweight, smooth & healthy after using the ice shine shampoo & conditioner. I have been very pleased with the results and I am going to continue to use this in the future, at least until something else captures my attention whilst browsing the health & beauty aisles. I paid £1.95 for a 400ml bottle from my local Sainsburys which I felt was a very reasonable price for a Pantene product and one of such a large size. I usually find that a bottle half the size will last me a couple of months so I can imagine that this is going to keep me going for quite a while now. The quality of this conditioner is equally as good as the ice shine shampoo that I have tried and I have been thoroughly impressed with the results. My hair is going for longer without becoming greasy and while my hair is still unruly and a little hard to tame it's now tangle free and without grease. Also, I don't have a ridiculous scent coming off my head and even after a couple of days since usage I find that my hair has a nice scent to it and has lots of colour and shine. My hair feels lightweight and it's definitely a lot more manageable. If you are looking to try something new today then why not give this Ice Shine conditioner a try? My hair has certainly benefited from me being drawn in by the low price and simply, clean looking packaging.
I bought a bottle of this 5 months ago and am still using the same bottle! The reason I bought it was because I had run out of my normal conditioner and this one caught my eye at one of the ends of Asdas special offers. They were selling the 400ml bottles for £2, which is a bargain, as I think they normally cost £4. You can also buy this product in a 200ml bottle, but you were talking £2.50 for the smaller size. The Ice Shine conditioner says it is for dull, tired hair that lacks shine. Although I wouldn't describe my hair exactly as dull and tired - I have longish, thick wavy hair which is highlighted and find tht it normally doesn't shine that great. So that was my reasoning, and I thought "If it doesn't work out, i've not spent a fortune!" The blurb on the bottle says "Do you have hair that looks lifeless and lacks shine? Do you want beautiful hair that's full of life, shine and sparkle? Apply from roots to the ends of the hair. Rinse thoroughly." The Ice shine conditioner is part of a range of 3 Ice Shine products - Shampoo, conditioner and serum. I've not tried any of the rest of the range. The bottle is pretty standard. It is white plastic, It has a strange shape to it - thin-ish at the top and widens to the bottom. The bottle stands on its lid and the lid is black plastic with a silver stripe around it. The tiny little picture on the front is of 4 ice cubes. Also another fact about Pantene products is that they are supported by the independent haircare experts of The Institute of Tricologists, founded 1902. So does it work? As with all Pantene products they make your hair smell great. Just a nice, clean, fresh smell which lingers throughout the day and you can smell it if you flick your hair. The liquid is white and pretty thick and you only need a little bit to go a long way. I put this on, use my shower gel, rinse my gel off, then rinse this off and my hair feels soft and shiny. I would say it does give a bit more shine perhaps than other conditioners, but might not be that noticable. It does soften though. I think this product will roughly last me anothe 4 months, so £2 for 10 months of use for a premium brand product can't be bad!
When I go to the hairdresser and has their hair done, there is always a feeling of dread as you go to pay and they ask if you want to buy any products to keep your hair as lovely as the moment you left the salon. If you are like me, I can never recreate the salon beautiful hair I left with and no £20 shampoo is going to help me. That's why I stay on the good side of my mobile hair dresser, she's fantastic at recommending high street products as she doesn't sell salon products, well, she can't lug them all around with her, so I don't get high pressure sales and I don't get too windswept when I leave! Recently, having my hair cut, she commented on how dry my hair was, thinking that she had some expensive masque treatment hidden up her sleeve, she told me she was popping out to get some Pantene Ice Shine conditioner. This puzzled me, a few years earlier, I had been told not to use Pantene products as they coat the hair in silicone. I patiently waited for her return and we went back to washing my hair. After shampooing the conditioner was applied to my hair and left on for a few minutes. After washing out, blow drying and trimming, my hair looked great, so I decided to go any buy some myself. I went off, to Asda where I found Pantene Ice Shine shampoo and conditioners on offer, a 200ml bottles of both the shampoo and conditioner were 2 for £2 or £1.98 each, so absolutely fantastic value. Packaging wise, it isn't the most exciting product in the world, a plan white bottle, blue writing but best of all, an upside down bottle, ensuring you get every single as once out of your bottle. The bottle is a lovely width too, great to hold securely in your hand whilst showering, there is a ridge within the sides, so it shouldn't slip out of your hand if your hands are soapy. The flip top cap is also extremely good, it is secure enough not leak out because it is an upside down bottle but is easy enough to flip open with wet hands. Thumbs up for the design here! The time came for me to try to recreate my hairdressers handy work, with the Pantene, I'd actually bought a shampoo and conditioner, so I used the shampoo first, however, I will avoid commenting on the shampoo and save that for a separate review. After shampooing and rinsing, it was now time to applied conditioner. Flipping open the lid, I noticed a lovely fresh smell, it smelt creamy but clean and not too overpowering. Giving a small squeeze, a decent amount came out, very cleanly from the nozzle. The conditioner is a pure white colour. The texture is very smooth and not at all soapy as some conditioners can be. The instructions are simply "Apply from the roots to the ends. Rinse thoroughly", never one to follow instructions on packages, I apply my conditioner from the mid lengths to the ends. I get very greasy roots anyway and putting conditioner on the roots simply makes it greasier and as my hair is long, it is actually the mid lengths that suffer most from being tied back! I leave my conditioner one while combing through the conditioner. The conditioner felt lovely and creamy when I applied it to my hair and it felt thick enough to be working but not too thick to feel heavy within my hair. After leaving the conditioner within my hair for 2 or 3 minutes, I came to rinse the conditioner out. Normally I find, with the thicker conditioners, they can be difficult to rinse out because they are clinging to the hair so much, then that descends into having greasy hair but I found that this conditioner really was easy to rinse out and it took no more than 2 minutes to completely clear the areas where I put conditioner. Immediately, my hair felt lovely, it was already feeling much softer and less coarse than it had been before washing. All that remained for me to do was to dry my hair. I also notices there were less knots and tug in my hair after using this conditioner, which, with long hair, is one thing I hate, but my brush went through with absolute ease. During drying, I noticed my hair was still soft but it looked to be in much better condition and it was easier than normal to blow dry. Unfortunately, it didn't tame the wild strands I get in the mid sections, but then it takes a hairdresser to do that for me! Certainly my hair looked much better after conditioning with Ice Shine. It felt much softer and looked healthy and shiny too. Over the course of a day this didn't wear off and the conditioner didn't weigh my hair down or make it greasy. I have now been using Ice Shine for 2 or 3 months now, as I bought another lot when it was on offer and I am still pleased wit the results, I love the new found shine my hair has and the product is so light yet so effective. I will continue to use Ice Shine until I reach the end of the current bottle I have, as I like to give my hair a break. My one favourite element of this product comes from my holidays. I took this to Las Vegas recently and the 48 degree heat really frazzled my hair on a daily basis. I used Ice Shine every day and it made a huge difference, where I would have normally had a lot of breakage and heat damage, I had none whilst I was away nor after I returned home. This will now save me buying an expensive conditioning treatment on my return. I would highly recommend this range, whilst only reviewing the conditioner here, I am also using the shampoo and heat spray and I cam so pleased. It is honestly one of the best buys I have ever made and at such a price, it won't break the bank if it is not quite right for you. Thanks for reading!
I purchased this conditioner with the accompanients of the Ice Shine series; the Ice Shine shampoo and serum. The conditioner is, as most conditioner is, an easy applicable thickish white substance with a strong, fresh smell. I applied the conditioner for the first time after washing with the accompanient shampoo, and left it on my hair for 5 or so minutes. After blowdrying I actually noticed a significant increase in shine to my dullish ash-brown hair. With further washing and conditioning over the course of ~2 weeks the shine began to improve and so did the general texture of my hair as a whole, becoming sleeker and holding a more "saturated" feel. If you have dull, dusty looking hair, I'd recommend giving this stuff a try. I also recommend using the accompanient Ice Shine serum, as it adds greatly to the "saturated" and shiny look, although the accompanient shampoo didn't yield a greatly noticable result.
Ice Shine Conditioner contains high levels of silicones to smooth the hairÒs surface¿almost polishing it / Helps create the appearance of uniform strands, so hair fibers more effectively lie next to each other and create a smooth, glossy surface /
