Advantages: Good product
Disadvantages: None really
For the past few months my shampoo of choice has been Pantene Pro-v 2 in 1 Shampoo. I have always found that I can get away without using a seperate conditioner as my hair is really soft and shiny naturally however occasionally I will use a seperate conditioner if I have been swimming a lot or on the beach.
The shampoo comes in a 400ml white plastic bottle with the distinctive blue and silver Pantene logo on it. The marketing blurb declares that it has the new Amino Pro-v Complex whatever that is, it always amazes me at the technological claims that companies attach to their products, the idea being that to blind us with science will ensure we buy the product.
On the back of the bottle it does have the most comprehensive directions you could require "Lather, rinse, repeat if necessary". I did have to read it twice but I got it in the end, who says blonds are dumb.
What I like about this shampoo is that it has a nice aroma and it leaves my hair feeling clean and with a nice shine to it. You only need a small amount as it produces a good lather and I have found that I can wash my hair repeatedly with it and always get the same effect.
I have never suffered any irritation to my scalp and indeed sometimes when I have had a reaction when using other shampoos and shower gels after a few uses of Pantene the irritation has gone.
There are a number of options within the range depending upon your hair type and I use the Classic Carr type for myself.
Produced by Proctor and Gamble there is a full list of ingredients on the back of the container and more information can be found at
