Advantages: silky smooth hair

Disadvantages: builds up in the hair

I have used other Pantene products so I expected Pantene Pro V 2in1 shampoo to be of superior quality. I wasn't disappointed.

The shampoo has a nice smell and you only need a small amount (for short hair: about as much as would cover a ten pence piece.) I usually wash and rinse twice but I found that I didn't need to do that when I started using this shampoo. Once was enough as my hair became lank and over conditioned if I used it twice for each wash. You don't need to use a seperate conditioner of course. (That's what the 2 in 1 is: shampoo and conditioner in one bottle.)

The thing I didn't like about this product was that after about six washes it had built up on my hair and I started having trouble with an itchy scalp and lank oily hair the day after it was washed. A hairdresser told me that this was caused by using a 2 in 1 shampoo all the time. Apparently it is better if you alternate it with a standard shampoo to avoid buildup but beter still to use two seperate products. (According to the hairdresser, anyway.)

I like this shampoo as it gives my hair a lovely gloss and it feels silky but I do alternate this 2 in 1 with Pantene's standard shampoo for normal hair.

Never liked this range for exactly the same reason - all shampoos build up after a while but Panthene really go over the top with it!

I never knew about the problems you could have with build up using the 2-1. I always change the brands I use to stop build up but I think I will leave these 2-1 alone next time. Great op.
