Advantages: None

Disadvantages: Caused me severe dandruff and awful condition?

Thanks to Pantene Anti-Dandruff L have changed my opinion because having used this for about 3 weeks l now have worse dandruff than l have had in years. My scalp is very itchy and the only thing l've changed in that time is this shampoo. Also at the cost to condition? I recently purchased a 200ml
bottle of Pantene Prov-V Anti-Dandruff Shampoo, for ‘True Confidence’. It comes
in a snazzy new design bottle thats creamy white with Blue and Silver logos and lettering. It is a ‘whitish’ cream, quite thin in texture and does not have that very
strong aroma compared to others like Head and Shoulders.

I have to use a dandruff shampoo every few months to keep at bay the little nit of dandruff that l get, or should l say used to get, now l have a snowstorm when l shake my head, its awful. I am using Head and Shoulders now and it is not as bad as it was a few days ago. But still pretty horrendous. I won't go out unless l absolutely have to.

I used the Pantene as instructed and conditioned afterwards with Pantene conditioner for Curly hair. But the condition of my hair even after conditioning was very poor, so much so that l used an intensive conditioner as well on the ends. It was ok then but the shampoo really dried it out.

It says to Lather, rinse and repeat. There are also Cautions. Avoid contact with eyes
(so l can’t do my eyelashes, then?). If contact occurs rinse thoroughly with water
(not washing-up liquid?). If irritation persists contact your doctor, thats if you can see(and expect a thorough telling off for getting shampoo in your eyes). These are
quite obvious instructions, though l suppose there must be people who need to be told
these things.

I get quite concerned about the ingredients in these products. The first ingredient
(and therefore the largest) is Aqua, do they think that we don’t know that Aqua is
Water? Do they
think we won’t realise that we have paid so much for mostly water?
Also does anybody know what Hydrogenated Polydecene or Timethylopropane Tricapylate/Tricaprate are? I’m putting these things on my head, are they seeping in
and affecting my brain? Everyone says l’m getting scattier!!

Well my advice to Pantene would be to make a seperate dandruff shampoo for Greasy, Normal and Dry hair. Then we with dry hair would not get our condition worsened by their product, how can it be suitable for all hair types? Also they should look perhaps into why it has caused such a reaction in me and maybe others like me.

To conclude, not to be recommended by me if you have hair especially coloured/permed or dry hair! Or dandruff!!??

I will not be using this product again but will still use Pantene products generally.

Try Polytar Shampoo. If available in Engand (found it in Canada & Australia)it'll be sold in the bigger chemist shops. It has kept my husband clean for years (& he has psoriasis to boot). Use conditioner afterwards. Conditioner is good for any hair, and it takes the chemical smell away in this one.
By the way if you have dry hair, after you put on conditioner, put on your bathing cap and leave it on for 15 minutes before rinsing. Does wonders. Some conditioners leave your hair icky. I found several that were good. The ones you will surely find in England , are Revlon's Flex for dry hair, and the Wella one.

I've developed dry patches at the side of my head and also can feel hard skin on my scalp. I've been through loads of stressful things lately, do you think it's psoriasis?. I've bought some special shampoo, what about which conditioner to use. How can I tell if i have dandruff or Psoriasis.
