I tend to buy salon style shampoo and conditioners (usually from the TIGI range) as I find that these suit my hair and they last a long time so work out pretty good value. However, they are an expensive investment and, if I don't have that amount of cash to spare, I opt for a cheaper variety to tide me over. My choice for that at the moment is this Pantene Pro V 2 in 1 shampoo - the classic care variety. The shampoo comes in a white plastic squeezy bottle and I bought 250ml for just under £3 which I deemed to be fairly decent value. I don't usually opt for shampoo and conditioners in one but, again, this was a means of saving a bit of money. The shampoo can be easily squeezed from the bottle and is thick and creamy in appearance with a delicate, perfumed, scent. I have used Pantene shampoos previously and they all seem to have the same distinctive scent. I use a generous amount per wash as I have quite long, thick hair. It lathers well, as long as you have very wet hair, and can be rinsed from the hair easily too. Therefore, I find it quick and easy to use and it would be a decent option for holiday or the gym bag for this reason. After drying my hair, the scent of the shampoo is still on my hair which leaves it feeling fresh and clean for a good day after washing. However, my hair does feel 'heavy' and quite dry. It lacks any real volume - the roots, in particular, are flat - and looks quite lifeless. It does feel clean and it definitely washes my hair well - it just doesn't do much else for it. This is not an option I would use long term as I feel my hair needs more conditioning than this provides but it is ok for a wash now and again. It is a decent price and cleans my hair, it just doesn't quite care for it as I would wish.
=Pantene Pro-V Classic Care 2 in 1 Shampoo & Conditioner= =The Product= This is a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner, and is designed for normal hair. I have a store cupboard in the shed that I store spare toiletries in, and although I don't normally buy a 2 in 1, I brought this for when I take my daughter swimming and for when we go on holidays. Having just returned from 2 weeks abroad the shampoo and conditioner got used most days. =The Bottle= The bottle I have is a 250ml size bottle, and it is white with some blue on it. The lid is a flip top lid and this opens easily and you can squeeze the bottle when it starts to become empty to keep the flow of shampoo coming out. =Information= From the information on the bottle, it claims it will give you healthily looking hair in 10 days. That the 2 in 1 combines the cleaning power of shampoo with Pantene conditioning power to give you great healthily looking hair that shines! Although this is designed for normal hair, there are other products in the range that can be used. =Using the product= You apply the product from the roots to the ends of the hair and then rinse thoroughly. The shampoo is a pale cream in colour, there is no real smell to it. =How did it work= It did the trick in terms of cutting out the time doing a separate shampoo and conditioner, for me as my hair is short, there was no problem, but my daughter has long hair, and to be honest after a week I was really struggling to manage her hair, after swimming and the heat, this was just not strong enough. I was lucky as I was chatting to the rep, (known her for 2 years) and was saying I was having a nightmare with my daughters hair, bless her heart the next day she brought me some shampoo and conditioner in from home to use. The difference was amazing. =Would I recommend= I would recommend this shampoo maybe for a weekend away or for using at the swimming baths, but I personally do prefer separate products. =Would I buy again= Yes, but only for going swimming with, even though both my daughter and my hair is "normal" it just didn't seem strong enough for her hair. =Price and Availability= This can be purchased from all retailers, the price I don't really recall how much I paid, but it would have been around £2 to £3 mark,
I was once told that these "2 in 1" hair care products were a bit of a no-no. Apparently your hair needs to be conditioned separately from when it's washed?? I have no idea whether that's true or not, but for me, this Pantene 2 in 1 really does the trick. ~CHOICE~ How does anyone choose their choice of hair care products? Firstly, (and I know it shouldn't be, but...) my primary concern when buying them is the smell!! I absolutely love the smell of this shampoo/conditioner. BUT - it's a very definite and distinctive (even unusual) smell. How to describe a smell is difficult, because at the end of the day, everyone smells things differently, and of course, something that I love the smell of, you may find disgusting, and vice-versa! The best descriptive I can use is that it's quite a 'sweet' smell. The good thing is, though, being a strong smell, you can smell before you buy. In shops, the bottles aren't sealed closed so you can flip the lid up and have a little waft! ~USE~ A gentle squeeze of the bottle will release a small amount of the white liquid from inside. There's nothing unusual about the consistency of the product, it feels soft and nice to the touch, and usually a small amount in my hand (say 1 inch diameter blob) is all I use (My hair is short). You need to wet your hair first and then massage the shampoo/conditioner into your hair and scalp. It lathers easily and generously and again, with the smell coming from it, it's a lovely part of my morning routine for me. I usually wash for a minute or so and then rinse fully off. The bottle says you can repeat if necessary, but this isn't something I do. ~AFTERWARDS~ Bearing in mind my review up to this point you'll probably guess that my favourite after-effect is the smell! My hair feels and smells lovely and clean, and when dry it feels incredibly soft and smooth. Great condition, you might say. When I go to the hairdressers, they often comment how soft my hair is and don't apply conditioner to my hair as a matter of course, because they say it's not needed - they use a separate conditioner just occasionally, which to me (someone who is no expert or enthusiast in beauty/hair care routines) is a great endorsement for my daily haircare routine. I really love this product, and find the classic care is the right one for me, although I have used other "hair types" if they have been on offer and classic care had sold out, and all have had brilliant results. The fact that the different types haven't had any effect making my hair dry or more greasy, I don't know if that means the product may be less effective if you are using it to try and tackle 'problem hair' as such. All I can do in this review is to share my own experience and as far as that goes, this product is definitely a huge success.
---Intro--- When I come to stay with my parents I tend to travel light, especially if I come on my own on the train. This means that I don't bother bringing shampoo and shower gel and stuff, instead just using whatever happens to be in the shower which is how I have come to review Pantene Pro-V Classic Care Shampoo and Conditioner. This is a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner and it is meant for normal hair. At home I rarely use 2 in 1s, much preferring to condition my hair separately. I also have dry and damaged bleached hair, so this product isn't perfectly suited to me, although not as bad as a product for greasy hair would be. ---Pantene Pro-V Classic Care Shampoo/Conditioner--- The bottle I am using is only 250ml which is smaller than most I use. I do tend to use a bit more than a normal sized shampoo blob when using a 2 in 1, so this bottle won't last that long - in fact I came to the end of one bottle today (although no idea how long it's been open!) The bottle is mostly white, with some blue on it, and a black lid. It's not particularly attractive, and it wouldn't jump of the shelf at me in a shop. The lid is a flip top, and I have to say that it's easy to get the shampoo out, even at the end of the bottle which is a plus point. The bottle (incidentally Pantene is supported by the Institute of Trichologists) claims that it will give you healthy looking hair in 10 days. It says that it's for short or normal hair, and states that Pantene Pro-V Classic Care 2 in 1 "combines the cleaning power of shampoo with Pantene conditioning power to give you great healthy-looking hair that shines". It does however say that if you have non-normal hair that one of their other products might be more suitable. The packaging contains a long list of ingredients on it. ---Using the product--- The bottle says to apply from the root to the ends of the hair and rinse thoroughly. I find that this cream coloured liquid is fairly thick and lathers well, and rinses out easily too. The smell is disappointingly not of much, just boring shampoo with no additional nice fragrance. I like 2 in 1 in that it's quick, and for some reason when at my parents I just want quick showers. I think that this product would be ideal for after the gym or swimming when you want something quick and easy and don't want to wait with conditioner on your hair! ---Does it work?--- I have probably at some point used this product for a period of 10 days, but quite frankly after this I cannot wait to get back to separates, as while my hair is ok, it's not as good as conditioning separately. Also as said, I should really be using a product suited for dry/damaged hair. On the whole I'd say this is ok, after washing it this morning my hair feels soft, and is quite manageable. It feels clean enough, although I think could do with a bit of something more fragranced in it. ---Finally--- I wouldn't buy this product as it's not suited to my hair, and I don't buy 2 in 1s. However for temporary short-term use it's fine, and saves me bringing my own. Personally I think that for long-term use separate shampoo and conditioners leave hair in a better state. That said though this 2 in 1 leaves my hair in MUCH better condition than shampoo alone (I have found that some 2 in 1 products don't seem to have any conditioning power) so I do think that it's a useful product - it would particularly be good if you were ill and wanted to wash hair quickly. This product currently retails at £2.87 in Asda, or 2 bottles for £4. This is actually quite expensive for a product that is only 250ml. I think that on balance I'd award Pantene Pro-V Classic Care Shampoo and Conditioner 3 out of 5 stars (as I can't really mark it down just because it's not the best product for my hair type).
While browsing my local Tesco Express a week or so ago I spotted a half price offer on Pantene hair care products. As I am trying to spend less I promptly popped a 500ml bottle of Pantene Pro-v 2 in 1 classic care into my basket for the very reasonable price of £2.24. I usually buy a combination of 2 in 1 products and separate shampoo and conditioners but at the moment I am currently using this 2 in 1 product. The bottle claims to be a new design but in all honesty I can't remember the old design. I mostly like the look of the bottle and my only issue is that I keep trying to press the lid down so as one side pops up to dispense product when this is a flip cap bottle. Happily it is still possible to stand the newly designed bottle on its lid so as to get every last drop out. Directions for use are to massage into wet hair to create a lather and then rinse, which is what I do while having a shower. The product claims to bring out shine for healthy looking hair, leave hair incredibly clean and be suitable or all hair types. These are all claims I like the sound of. The 2 in 1 has a strangely artificial fruity scent to it, a bit similar to chewy fruit sweets, it certainly was not a scent I expected from this thick, creamy white product. I don't find the scent particularly unpleasant but it is not one I like. Happily when I use a 50 pence sized blob on my hair the scent seems to fade off a little. The 2 in 1 foams up nicely and creates a rich lather on my thick, shoulder length hair. I feel as though the 2 in 1 is doing a good job of cleansing and moisturising my hair. The 2 in 1 rinses from my hair easily and leaves my hair squeaky clean. Once out the shower I towel dry my hair and can easily run a brush through my hair encountering no knots. As my hair dries it does feel clean and soft but seems to be going incredibly frizzy, I usually have minimal frizz issues but with this 2 in 1 I have a full on fuzzy corona around my head leaving me no choice but to tie my hair back or attack my hair with straighteners before leaving the house. My son and daughter have been using this 2 in 1 and they both have incredibly shiny and healthy looking hair after each shower and there hair smells lovely so at least the strange scent settles into a rather nice, clean scent once the hair is dry and they are not suffering frizz issues. After a week or more of use by every member of the family there is still 2/3 of a bottle left so I would have to say a little goes a long way, which is unfortunate for me and my seriously frizzy hair. As this product is not really suitable to my hair, the first one I have found in a long time, I probably won't be buying this again for my own personal use but will happily buy it when on offer for the rest of the family. I give Pantene Pro-v 2 in 1 classic care 3 out of 5 stars, removing one for the strange fruity scent and another for the unfortunate frizz effect on my hair. Thank you for reading.
*Please note, I have listed this under the wrong heading, it should be under Pantene Pro V, 2 In 1 Shampoo Reviews but I have contacted the DooYoo team to let them know, sorry!* This is a review of Pantene Pro V, 2 In 1 Shampoo which has been on the shelf in our shower since last Christmas and was recently finished between us. I think my husband received it in a Christmas toiletries bundle. In use I used this on half a dozen occasions when I was in a rush. I noted that it wasn't going down very quickly so assumed my husband wasn't a big fan of this. I don't usually use 2 in one shampoos unless I am at the gym or swimming when it helps to cut down on the beauty regime. I used a 50p sized blob on my hair and found this enough to get a lather going on my long hair. Most of the time I would leave my hair to dry naturally after using this shampoo so no blow drying or straightening irons or leave in products went on my hair afterwards. The shampoo and conditioner has a clean sort of smell which is neither addictive nor repulsive to me but just a sort of soapy smell. Packaging The bottle we have is 250 ml and a pearly white container which makes it hard to see how much you have left. The lid is a flip top and it is easy to squeeze the bottle to remove the contents. My thoughts I found this an OK product to use in a rush but also found it to be a bit of a false economy as my hair would need washing the next day. It seemed to make it go greasy quite quickly. I usually wash my hair every other day so this is quite annoying if you have to do it more often. I have no idea why it made it go greasy so quickly but can only assume it didn't suit my hair. Price and availability A 250 ml bottle currently retails in Tesco for £2.87 which is OK I suppose as you are buying only one bottle instead of two. It is also in a 3 for 2 deal at the moment so you can reduce the cost a little by taking advantage of this deal. Final word I found this shampoo was OK in a pinch but to be honest I won't be rushing out to buy any more. I would be disappointed if I packed this to take on holiday with the intention of reducing the luggage weight to find that it didn't perform as well as a separate shampoo and conditioner. I suppose that this will appeal to some people for its time and space saving properties but I don't want to compromise on performance so it comes without recommendation from me!
I have heard from numerous people that the shampoo and conditioner in one products are a load of rubbish. However, after thrying it for many months i have come to the conclusion that they actually do work. As they should do. They help me to cut down on the time spent in the shower because you are only applying one product which helps to speed up my morning. You may not think it but it actually does because you dont have to wait for the conditioner to soak in after also applying shampoo. I have tried other 2-in-1 products such as head and shoulders and i have found pantene to be the best in the quality your hair is after washing it. It is left silky smooth and in great condition so you dont have to fuss with it and get it cut all of the time. It is the product that helps keep your hair healthy and is great for quick washes. It comes in a larger bottle so that you can get a few months usage out of it which is great for money saving. I also really like how you can get different types of the product to suit your hair type. E.g. normal, anti-dandruff etc. This means you can manage your hair properly and treat it correctly. It can be arguable that it wont do as good a job as using separate products but i find that using for just general day to day is extemely easy because of how easy it makes to wash your hair. If you are going somewhere fancy then geting a better quality shampoo and conditioner can be good to give extra oomf to your hair but i find that pantene works great. It means that my hair stays non-greasy for longer so there is no need to have to wash your hair everyday. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wishing to speed up their hair washing time.
I have always liked the Pantene brand and the classic care range is no different. In this range there is a shampoo, conditioner, a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner, a hairspray and a mousse. The bottle of the 2 in 1 is sleek and a pearlised white in colour with metallic ble accents on the bottle and a black flip top lid at the top. The claim is that you will have healtheir loooking hair within 10 days. You can buy the pantene 2 in 1 in a couple of different sizes but of course the bigger the size the more economical it is. Pantene is a little more expensive than some of the rival brands so I always make sure I stock up when it is on offers. The shampoo is thick and pearlised just like the others and lathers up really well as the seperates do. It is the same fragrance as the seperate shampoo and conditioner which I find smells really fresh and stays on your hair all day. I would have to say that I prefer the seperate shampoo and conditioner as my hair just isn't as soft and shiny when using the 2 in 1. I have never liked 2 in 1s as they have never been very good on my hair and I would have to say that the pantene 2 in 1 is better than the rest and my hair is still tangle free when I have used it. I would use this when in a rush but not if I didn't need to.
I have mid length thick coarse hair un-styled, which requires at least a 15 minute blow dry and generally has to be straightened before I leave the house, otherwise, I look ridiculous (trust me I am constantly on the look-out for products which will help with this). Recently I decided I needed a change in style so I got a shorter, almost 'bob' but very short and choppy on top. To style, I blow dry it forward, straighten briefly and then apply a little gum/paste finishing up with a spritz of hair spray. Never in my life have I had short hair, so I didn't quite know how to manage it. Once I had conquered the styling aspect I soon realised I needed to wash and style it every morning. Fine, you're probably thinking, but not so fine when you have been able to manage with one or two washes a week with 'in between' day products. Now that I have to put the poor mop through blow drying and straightening every day it's really stressed, and though I use heat defence styling stuff, it's been increasing in frizz at an alarming rate. So I decided I was looking for a shampoo and conditioner which would nourish and 'rescue' my tresses and whilst I was running down my old shampoo I either put too much thought in to my new shampoo, or I forgot - one of the two then, about a fortnight ago I found myself mid-shower 'shampoo-less'. I grabbed my Mum's Pantene Pro-V Classic Care 2-in-1 Shampoo & Conditioner and slapped it on, I mean I had no choice, despite the fact I felt I was committing the cardinal hair care sin by using a... 2... in... 1... I dispensed around about a 10p sized blob from the white and navy coloured bottle, applying the product I thought it was strange how you got the lather of a shampoo and the detangling of a conditioner. I naturally left it on for about 30-60 seconds whilst I washed my face as that's what I do with separate conditioner. Then I rinsed and combed my hair through with my shower comb. A hairdresser once told me that you can tell a lot about the condition of a person's hair, by how easily a wide tooth comb can get through their wet hair. The comb needed no pulling, it simply slid straight through. Surprised and now not at all fazed by my shampooing experience I went in to my room and began to blow dry my hair. It smelt divine, not of Guava and White Satin or some other exotic fruit and made up scent combo, just clean. I began to blow dry my hair. It felt normal - not dry, not overly conditioned, not like silk or like I'd been to a tropical island in the shower, it just felt normal. I finished drying and styled as usual. I got a few nice compliments at work and my partner said it smelt nice. I have been using the 2-in-1 for a couple of weeks now like I say, on a daily basis. My hair is best described as happy, protected from the drying effects of heat styling, but not overly greasy at all the conditioners and hair masks I would usually use. I love 2-in-1 from Pantene, I just keeping thinking of the extra case space this will give me when I go away, or the saving money wise I will get, I was astounded to find out that it was only £3.99 for 500ml, I usually pay upwards of £4 per shampoo / conditioner! Saving money, saving space, looking good and finally finding a good everyday shampoo solution (which I need now I style my hair every day); I was delighted. The porduct is specially formulated for short or normal hair - it gives you healthy hair, that has a nice sheen and is tough against styling. On the back of the shampoo it advises you to check out the rest of the range if you have curly, frizzy, coloured hair; but mine's a bit of a combination of all those, and it worked great for me. Ingredients can be found on www.pantene.com along with some great tips for hair care, styling, etc. I would recommend you try this, particularly if like me you spend a lot of money and time on trying to find the perfect combination of shampoo and conditioner for daily use, which doesn't strip the essential oils from your hair, but doesn't make it greasy either.
Pantene Pro V 2 in 1 **Cost** For value and quality I don't think you can really beat Pantene Pro V 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner. It costs around £2.40 for a 250ml bottle and £3.80 for the 500ml (the larger bottle providing better value per ml). The individual products from Pantene are the same price each so it makes sense to buy the 2 in 1. I have also found that it is almost always on offer in shops such as Tesco, Boots, Superdrug and Wilkinson's, who offer promotions in order to compete with each other (it is worth a wander around these shops to see where has the best deal). **Quality** For a standard (non salon) product I find that the Pantene 2 in 1 gives my hair a feeling of luxury, being sleek and shiny when washed. I have tried other brand's 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioners and have been disappointed as I have found the conditioning element to be nowhere near the quality of a separate conditioner. However with the Pantene version I do not find that any quality is lost by using just one bottle rather than two. **Time Saving Benefits** When you have limited time to get ready this product can remove 10 minutes from your bathroom routine. I also find that it is ideal for taking to the swimming baths, even with the chlorine from the water I only need to give my hair one wash (not true of some other brands), plus you can carry just one bottle with you rather than two. **Negative Points** The only negative point I think the product has is that although the Pantene range as a whole offers variants for different hair types, such as frizzy, coloured, dry, greasy, fine, etc I have only found the 2 in 1 version available in classic care and smooth and sleek.
PACKAGING This comes in a big bottle which i think is very luxurious looking. The label on the front is decorated with lovely colours such as gold, which you will see beside the pantene pro - v logo and a lovely picture mainly covered with blues, varying in intensity of colour and silver at the bottom. This asks do you have short or normal hair and want resilient healthy looking hair that shines. Then it tells you that "pantene pro v classic care" combines the cleansing power of shampoo with pantene conditioning power to give you great healthy- looking hair that shines. If you have dry, curly, coloured or flat hair. It then suggests that you might enjoy one of pantene's other collections because there is a variety off offerings for your specific hair type. On the back it also says "The Institute of Trichologists founded in 1902." There website is www.pantene.com aside from all of that, you will also see all of the ingredients at the back, contact details and a message saying that "pantene is supported by The Independent Haircare Experts." WHAT'S IT LIKE? When you open the bottle which has a very nice easy to open blue lid, you will notice the nice smell of the shampoo. I cant point out any specific scents that i pick up from it because nothing really springs to mind but it is a nice fresh smell . The shampoo and conditioner itself is white in colour and a creamy texture. MY OPINION I never tried this until recently because i was always drawn to herbal essences bottle's because their shampoo smell's so good and the bottles are the fanciest looking ones that i have seen yet. So i was always won over by them. A few years ago when i went to tech, i studied hairdressing and beauty. In the hairdressing course the woman teaching us told me that pantene was basically "the best" shampoo and conditioner available. Even despite that i still never got round to buying it until recently because it is expensive and like i said it didn't appeal to me as much as herbal essences. That was until recently while out shopping, i was able to fight the little voice in my head saying oooh herbal essences have nice, shiny, bright bottles and i bought this instead. Remembering what my hair dressing teacher had told me, i assumed it would be "a good investment." Its still a very fancy bottle just not a brightly coloured one, which i would usually go for. The silver rim around the lid is a nice addition to the bottle and it does look like a "high quality" shampoo and conditioner. In fact they seem to have managed to make it look luxurious with very simple but beautiful details. When i use it "it lathers up brilliantly" and this is even with a very small amount of it. So although it is expensive, it can last quite a while, which i think makes it worth the money and that is even before i get into talking about the results. This makes a" big difference" to my hair after using it. If i go a while using "other shampoos" and go back to this. When i come downstairs afterwards, my mum always says how shiny and soft my hair looks. My hair is often submitted to torture as are a lot of people's hairs through constant use of hair straightener's and hair dryers. This restore's my hair back to its best health and i really love it. I should have listened to the hairdresser when she said it to me then because i would have had these results sooner but i have got them now and i would highly recommend this too anyone, who wants the best possible choice for their hair. PRICE This costs £3.69 in boots for a 500ml bottle.
I've been trying out lots of shampoos lately trying to find one I like. I know Pantene have always had a good reputation and a price tag to match. Usually I couldn't justify spending nearly £2 on a 200ml bottle. The amount I wash my hair, this wouldn't last very long. Recently in Superdrug, however, they had a selection of Pantene shampoos on offer for 88p each. The 2in1 classic care is one I picked up. Usually I find 2in1 shampoos and conditioner products don't give as good results as separate products, after all one is for cleaning and the other for moisturising. Often I find they just do the same job as a shampoo would without conditioner. The benefit of them of course is the time factor. I also find them useful to take if I'm going swimming or on holiday as you don't want too many heavy bottles to carry. The bottles says 'Pantene Pro-V Classic Care 2in1 combines the cleaning power of a shampoo with Pantene conditioning power to give you great healthy looking hair that shines.' I used amount a walnut sized amount of product and was impressed with what a rich lather it gave. I think half as much would be adequate. After rinsing, my hair felt clean, and although not a smooth as when I've used a conditioner seperately, it didn't have any knots and was a lot smoother that when I use just a shampoo alone. I let it dry naturally as I often do if I'm not going out, and it did feel light and well cleaned though a little bit flyaway, that maybe more conditioner would have sorted out. The next time I used it I spritzed on some leave in conditioner and my hair looked much better. The smell of the product is not overpowering but very pleasant. I was a little sceptical at how good this 2in1 would be but I'm impressed. It's definitely one of the best 2in1s I've used and would buy it again on offer, but perhaps not a full price. I've just checked the Boots website and they have Pantene products on 3 for 2, if you are planning on trying this. I'm going to get a few to pop in my swim bag now!
I don't usually use Pantene products as a rule and there is no particular reason for this. I have always tended to buy separate shampoo and conditioner products, as using a two-in-one just didn't appeal to me. I suppose I thought of it as cutting corners and questionned the reliability of shampoo and conditoner pre-mixed. Maybe Im a bit of a control freak!? However, my fiance always has a bottle of pantene 2in1 sitting on his bath and his hair always looks so thick and shiny and has a lovely clean, fresh smell to it - though I am biased of course - so I decided to give it a go. Im not a fan of too many chemicals in my products and I know this is sooo hard to avoid in things like shampoo and conditioner but I was put off a bit by the ingredients in this product. I can't always afford the more chemical free stuff so not to be completely hypocritical I will say that I do buy regular hair products, and depending on how my hair feels afterwards I will re-buy or not. I was pleasantly surprised by this product. The bottle was easy to use, you dont have to worry about unscrewing a bottle top as the lid just flips open and you can squeeze the desired amount onto the palm of your hand. I discovered that I did not need a lot of product to achieve the desired results which is great when you are counting the pennies! The shampoo felt lovely when being applied onto the scalp and hair - very rich and creamy and lathered up easily. My hair really did feel like it was being thoroughly cleaned. It all washed out fine and on drying my hair I immediately noticed how sleek it felt and how tangle-free it was. I have quite long and thick hair so this was a real bonus for me. After drying, my hair looked and felt clean, healthy and shiny and it was very soft to the touch. I usually wash my hair every one to two days and Im pleased to say that the results of using this product did indeed last 2 full days. I was pleased with the convenience of this product also. All in all Im happy to purchase this product myself!
This is a 2 in 1 Shampoo and conditioner and is made by Pantene, it is part of the Classic range. Sometimes when you are in a hurry a product which does two jobs can save time and is the reason i picked up this product. I often buy Pantene as they have always been very good products. This shampoo and conditioner comes in a white plastic bottle and has shiny blue writing on the bottle. It has the Pantene name in shiny silver writing. It has a very easy to use fllip lid. The cleaned out bottle can be recycled. This particular product is suitable for short or normal hair. They do different ranges for other hair types. The product says it is designed to make your hair more resilient against combing/styling damage. The product is nice and thick and does not slide out of your hands when using. It has a lovely fresh smell. When you apply the product it provides a lovely thick lather. It feels very luxurious as you massage it into your hair. It is very easy to rinse out. It left my hair feeling healthy and very soft. My hair felt clean and smelt great. It did however leave it a bit flyaway after using which made styling more difficult. It almost felt too soft. My hair had a lovely shine after using the product, but I would not use before a night out as I think I would not get good results when styling. The size bottle I bought was 400ml. I got mine from the supermarket when it was on offer two for £5.
Pantene, I always used it, thought it was one of the best hair brands around. I was WRONG as I found out a few weeks ago! I have always had healthy hair and I've always been proud of it so have usually, always wanted the best hair products around for my locks! I change my shampoo&conditioner on quite a regular basis depending on what offers are on at the shops! I usually look for the 'BUY1 GET 1FREE' deal so then I can buy the shampoo and get the conditioner free! I had recently been doing this with the 'Pantene classic care' range, the 'BUY1GET1FREE' offer was applicable for quite a while on this range at my local sainsburys! I was quite satisfied with the product, it worked well and left my hair smelling lovely and still in good condition, what more could you want from a shampoo&conditioner!? Well.... Don't let yourself be fooled, this stuff isn't all it seems to be! I learnt my lesson about a week ago when I took a trip to my local hair salon on a Saturday morning, I was there from half 9 till midday, why!? I was getting blonde highlights put into my hair, I was really excited but come midday I wasn't so excited! The highlights hadn't taken to my hair at all! What a waste of money and time! I was quite 'peed' off! ~ If thats the safest way of putting it! The hairdresser was as curious as I was to why the colour didn't take to my hair! She asked me a few questions and having not dyed my hair for over a year we were struggling for solutions!!! Then it all bottled down to the shampoo I was using, Pantene. The hairdresser knew what was up as soon as I said, 'Pantene' Thats really not very good for your hair, I remember her saying! I'd always thought Pantene was a pretty decent range, full of quality and very professional but I was very wrong! I got told how the shampoo wrecks your hair as well as most other Pantene products and since I was also u sing the conditioner, this had coated my hair in a silicon layer preventing the dye from actually getting through to my hair! My hair was caked in plastic! My view on hair products has totally changed now, this Shampoo&conditioner from the classic care range are really not to be recommended from me personally!!! I have been steered of any Pantene products now! THE PANTENE CLASSIC CARE RANGE ~ The shampoo&conditioner range comes in different types and bottles as like most 'NEW' ranges nowadays. You have the 'Normal Hair' bottles (Which I was using) Also the 'Dry/Damaged' and 'Volume' bottles. The shampoo&conditioner themselves are nothing special, they smell nice but the smell isn't distinct at all but is pleasant. The shampoo&conditioning creams are a plain while/creamy colour, again nothing special. PACKAGING ~ Each bottle is white with different coloured writing for each kind of bottle, the packaging isn't very interesting and each bottle is normal size. You will all be glad to know that I have since switched shampoo&conditioner and I got my hair redone! (It looks fab, just to let you all know! HeHe!) I hope I've managed to pursuade you all not to use this product, it really gets you thinking of what rubbish goes into hair products nowadays and whether you can actually trust how good they say they are!!! Please note: The other hair range to look out for is 'FRUCTIS' apparantly this range is just the same! The best hair products out at the moment are so I'm told 'V05' and 'Herbal Essenses' Thanks for reading everyone, emmaxXx :0)
