Advantages: Time saving, good results for a 2in1

Disadvantages: Still doesn't beat using a good conditioner seperately

I've been trying out lots of shampoos lately trying to find one I like. I know Pantene have always had a good reputation and a price tag to match. Usually I couldn't justify spending nearly £2 on a 200ml bottle. The amount I wash my hair, this wouldn't last very long. Recently in Superdrug, however, they had a selection of Pantene shampoos on offer for 88p each. The 2in1 classic care is one I picked up.

Usually I find 2in1 shampoos and conditioner products don't give as good results as separate products, after all one is for cleaning and the other for moisturising. Often I find they just do the same job as a shampoo would without conditioner. The benefit of them of course is the time factor. I also find them useful to take if I'm going swimming or on holiday as you don't want too many heavy bottles to carry.

The bottles says 'Pantene Pro-V Classic Care 2in1 combines the cleaning power of a shampoo with Pantene conditioning power to give you great healthy looking hair that shines.'

I used amount a walnut sized amount of product and was impressed with what a rich lather it gave. I think half as much would be adequate. After rinsing, my hair felt clean, and although not a smooth as when I've used a conditioner seperately, it didn't have any knots and was a lot smoother that when I use just a shampoo alone.

I let it dry naturally as I often do if I'm not going out, and it did feel light and well cleaned though a little bit flyaway, that maybe more conditioner would have sorted out. The next time I used it I spritzed on some leave in conditioner and my hair looked much better.

The smell of the product is not overpowering but very pleasant. I was a little sceptical at how good this 2in1 would be but I'm impressed. It's definitely one of the best 2in1s I've used and would buy it again on offer, but perhaps not a full price. I've just checked the Boots website and they have Pantene products on 3 for 2, if you are planning on trying this. I'm going to get a few to pop in my swim bag now!

Summary: I'd buy again
