Advantages: Good packaging, makes hair shiny and soft
Disadvantages: None
I am a natural ash blonde colour and have always been proud of that. As a consequence, I have been a big fan of the shampoos that promise to keep your colour looking great and protected against weather, pollution etc. I even used the Henna coloured shampoos - they saved my hair when a wash-in-wash-out colour went slightly wrong and turned my hair orange (I was 13 at the time). My staple shampoo for a long while has been Sunsilk for blonde hair, but when Pantene brought out Blonde Expressions, I decided to have a go.
Blonde Expressions ranges in price depending on where you buy it - I bought mine in Superdrug and it was around £2.99. The bottle is a funky cylindrical shape coloured depending on what sort you are buying (yellow for blonde, brown for brunette and red for redhead). The actual shampoo takes on an iridescent quality, golden in colour and quite thick in texture. All in all, great for a sucker for packaging like myself.
When you apply the shampoo, it really does feel like your hair is being cleansed PROPERLY. All too often I find that shampoos do very little to actually lift dirt and whatnot off your hair and often require a repeat wash. Not with this one. When washing the shampoo off, you can already feel that your hair will feel great once dried. I never do a repeat wash now - one feels enough.
Having said this, I don't know how much difference the shampoo has made to the colour of my hair - in fact, I've never really worked out whether these shampoos are made for natural or coloured. My hair colour seems to be the same that it ever was - but the condition is much better which does put more of a sheen to it. This is a shampoo however, that I will continue to use. Who knows - maybe if I stop using coloured shampoos, my hair will become more dull.
Blonde Expressions really does make your hair feel excellent - I suffer from greasy hair and this certainly has become less of a problem since using this shampoo, so it will be a constant shower companion of mine for some time yet.
Summary: Loving the softness
