Advantages: Makes hair curly, no frizz.

Disadvantages: Levaes curls feeling stiff.

Two weeks ago I found myself running out of my favourite L'Oreal curl spray so went to purchase some more. To my dismay the three shops I went in have stopped selling them, so that's another of my curl sprays that has stopped being produced, it seems that just as I find one that suits my hair they stop selling it!!

So back to the drawing board and wasting my money on trying new curl sprays out!! The first one I tried was Pantene Perfect curls, curl creating gel spray a 150ml bottle cost approx £3.60 from Boots. The bottle is a creamy white in colour with a black spray nozzle. It has the Pantene logo on the top of the bottle and the name Perfect Curls, curl crunching gel spray written underneath, it also states that is flexible hold.

On the back it states that this product will help you have curls that you can control, it advises that this light weight product helps you create curls and leaves your hair touchable, shiny and virtually frizz free. Directions are that you should spray the product evenly through damp hair, then use a diffuser to create perfectly defined curls.

I did as the instructions said; I firstly shampooed and conditioned my hair, then whilst it was still damp I sprayed the curl spray throughout my hair, scrunching it as I sprayed. The spray itself is clear in colour and has a light perfumed smell to it, it is a pleasant floral smell and not too over powering, it doesn't smell like any other Pantene product I have smelt. The spray is not sticky to touch, there is a slight thickness to it but it is not very sticky as some gel sprays are that you can buy.

My hair dried very quickly with the diffuser, I ensured that I dried all sections of my hair that had the spray on. My hair is naturally curly anyway, but I could see that my hair was drying with a nice curl to it. By the time I had finished I had a lovely head of curls, they weren't frizzy and looked very healthy. With some products on the market, I find that my hair can be left looking dry and frizzy but this wasn't the case with Pantene.

Overall I was very happy with this spray and think it did everything that it stated it would do on the bottle. My only problem with it is that it did leave my curls feeling slightly stiff, but that is to be expected with a gel spray. It is definitely a light weight gel spray as it states on the bottle but the curls are a little bit too stiff for my liking, therefore I wouldn't use this product again.

Summary: I wouldnt use again.

My hair used to be curly but isn't now! I always found that curl creams worked better than sprays, mousses, etc. Have you tried them?
