“ Brand: Pantene / Type: Conditioner / Subcategory: Enhancer „
Just like the shampoo (see my review for that if you like!) i bought the conditional when it was on offer, simply because i was looking for a decent conditioner without paying the full amount. I haven't bought any other conditioner apart from Pantene Pro V Enhanced Layers since i tried it, and that was over 2 years ago. It combined well with the shampoo of the same range to leave my hair looking thick and feeling really soft. My hair is curly, and i feel like that it would work best on curly hair, defining the curls while giving the hair more volume. It doesn't leave my hair looking or feeling greasy like some conditioners can do, and i can get away with not washing my hair for a few days after using this conditioner. I feel that my hair looks best after leaving it a few days after using the conditioner, and it doesn't go greasy despite not using the Pantene range's shampoo.
Having tried the shampoo in this range I thought it would be wise to see if the conditioner worked as well. The shampoo had been adequate, leaving the hair soft and with slightly more bounce, though I cannot say it really brought out loads of layers!
What is it for:
The conditioner is designed for people who want to see a layered effect in their hair, in hindsight I think this is more beneficial for those with longer hair, as you will see more noticabable results. With shorter hair you cannot tell whether the layers are really coming through. It is supposed to be used in conjuction with the shampoo.
Comes in a plastic bottle with a flip-top lid. It stands up well and dispenses easily. The logo is smart and minimal and the range is easy to spot on the shelves.
Value for money:
You can usually do a buy two for a bulk deal job, on its own this would cost about £3 a bottle. It should last you a good month though if you use sparingly.
How to use:
After shampooing, I added a small dollop into my palm and worked into the hair. It works through very well and there is a subtle scent, just right. It is not too watery or too creamy and the texture feels super. The stuff rinses out fairly well, but ensure to rinse with cool water for more shine.
Well, after a blow dry, I cannot say my hair was left with amazing layers, but it did seem more managable and had some bounce to it. I feel using it with the shampoo works best as you know the hair is getting the best treatment.
Not bad, but make sure you have long hair if you want good results!
I purchased this product as part of a two for £5 deal in Boots & as I love Pantene & trying out new products I thought why not!
I used this after I had used the Pantene Pro-V Enhanced Layers Shampoo (see my review if you like!) and I found this to be very a very lightweight product which did not weigh down my hair in the slightest.
I used a small amount (50p sized dollop) and smoothed this through my hair starting at the roots and paying extra attention to the ends (as this is where my hair is its worst).
This product has the classic Pantene smell which I find very nice indeed! Also, I had several nice comments about my hair after I had used the shampoo & conditioner.
I do not have many layers to my hair but I did find that it had more movement and life after using this product.
I would definitely recommend this product to anybody with layered hair, especially if you want to achieve a choppy, tangle free look.
Look out for special offers in Tesco & Boots (I see these quite often!)
I brought a 400ml bottle and found that this lasted for many washes (providing you dont have rude people in your house who just help themselves!!)
Thanks for reading :)
