I have been using this product all week (which means I have used it 3 times) as I have stopped at my cousins, and packed very light. This is somewhat different to the normal shampoo I would opt for, as I doesn't smell amazing. However, the smell is pleasant enough. I used a small amount of this product, and lathered into my hair. When washed out, it left my hair and scalp feeling clean and not greasy or weighed down. I used a small about of a different brand of conditioner to work out the tangles. I then used a hair dryer to dry my hair, and found it reduced the frizziness of my hair, as well as leaving is feeling full of volume, soft, with an instant shine upon drying (with my normal shampoo, my hair looks dull when I first dry it). I'm not quite sure it did enhance my layers, but as I felt it reduced the frizziness of my hair and added instant shine, I may consider investing in this product myself. I couldn't find a down side to this product while I have used it, and would recommend it to a friend.
As a child I always wanted to grow my hair and from the age of 11 till about 6 months ago, at the grand old age of 30 I had hair that came ¾ of the way down my back. I'd become increasingly fed up with it and one day decided that I'd get it cut to just above my shoulders. This was quite a dramatic cut for me but one that I love. As well as getting it cut I had it styled so that it was defined with a number of layers and feathered at the edges. It looked great when I came home from the hairdressers but after the first wash the layers seemed to go limp and you couldn't really notice them. Browsing for some shampoo in my local Tesco I spotted a new addition to the Pantene range - the enhanced layers shampoo which seemed to be the solution I was looking for. I believe I paid around £4.00 for a 500ml bottle. This shampoo comes in the standard white Pantene bottle with a black flip top lid. The bottle has a curved design, which not only looks good but is also ergonomic as it makes the bottle easier to grip when in the shower. Pantene claim that this shampoo is the first step to a lifted and layered style (The second is the conditioner and third the styling collection products in the same range). They say that by using this shampoo layers are enhanced, stand out and are free flowing. These are big claims and I was a little sceptical as to whether the products in this range would achieve this but I was curious enough to pop this in my basket. I didn't get around to buying the conditioner as they'd run out in this range, but I was curious to see what effect using the shampoo on it's own would have. I used the shampoo in the normal way - I won't go into too much detail, as it's not exactly rocket science! I noticed the shampoo lathered up well and had a light and pleasant smell that I can only describe as sweet. It wasn't particularly distinctive and not too different from the other shampoos in the Pantene range that I normally use. After rinsing my hair felt clean and fresh. I tend to use a leave in conditioner, which I apply to damp hair, but on this occasion I omitted this step to see what effect the shampoo had. This wasn't too problematic as the shampoo didn't dry my hair out and leave it knotted, so it was easy to comb and style. Once my hair dried I noticed that the layers in my hair did indeed stand out. Each one was well defined and looked great when the light caught my hair. I was seriously impressed! My hair was also soft and manageable. I wash my hair every other day but some shampoos tend to cause my hair to become greasy after a day. I was therefore pleased to see that my hair still looked fresh the next day. Even others noticed the change in my hair and commented on how great it looked! Overall I am really impressed with this shampoo. I have used it for a number of weeks now and have run out so I will be buying this again on my next shopping trip! Highly recommended!
I bought this product when it was on offer in tescos once, simply because it was on offer, no other reason. this was over 2 years ago now i think, and i haven't used any other shampoo since!! i really really like it :) i have rather curly hair, and it's transformed my hair from a mess to something that is a stylish looking mess. Before my hair would do what it wants, and was really frizzy. Now, since i've been using it, my hair still does what it wants, but it's as if it wants to look good. My curls are more defined, and i love the way it looks. When i first started using the shampoo i had longish hair, probably down to my jaw line on the sides. Even when it was all a similar length it looked great, with better defined curls. Now my hair is short on the back and sides, and longer on top with a fridge, kind of indie look to it, and the shampoo works even better with the different layers.
I tried this a few weeks ago and well I must be honest I did not notice a huge amount of difference after I had used it. Here is my Pantene experience: The shampoo: Comes out a creamyish colour and dispenses easily. You do not need that much, it lathers up really well and soon fluffs the hair up. I would say the size of a ten pence piece would suffice. The washing out: This washes out very easily, no hassle, warm water will do with a quick blast of cold to seal the hair after. After the wash the hair felt clean and had a small amount of bounce to it. Dryng the hair: I blowdried as normal and found the blowdrying process took the usual amount of time. After I had finished I found the hair felt soft and clean. It did not appear to have enchanced the layers though. There might have been a little more volume but I did not experience any dramatic results. Thoughts: I feel this would work better for people with much longer hair, the results on shorter hair really do not show. Price: Not bad, about two to three quid and a bottle will last a month if used every day or so. I would recommend this shampoo for everyday use but for people with longer hair.
I purchased this product as part of a two for £5 deal which boots had on at the time. As this was a new product and I like Pantene products I was keen to give this a try (and earn some boots points in the process of course!). This comes bottled in 400ml and has the "classic" smell that I think most of the Pantene products hold. I don't have many layers to my hair but I wanted to lift those that I have and show them off to the world! I found that this gave a great lather and left my hair lovely and shiny and shiny. My hair had a lot more movement and flow to it than it would with just a standard shampoo and I had a few nice comments on the shine and how healthy my hair looked. All Pantene work is supported by the Institute of Trichologists too which is good as you know that they are really looking out for your hair! This isn't the cheapest Pantene shampoo on the market but I would definitely recommend it, especially if you have lots of choppy layers in your hair as it did wonders for my few layers! Use with Pantene Pro-V Enhanced Layers for the best results (in my opinion anyway!)
