Advantages: RICH, CREAMY, HYDRATING AND REPAIRING HAIR CARE TREATMENT
Disadvantages: NONE I CAN THINK OF...
To complete my homage to the Pantene trilogy I wanted to review a great intensive conditioning treatment Procter and Gamble brought out to compliment their hair care ranges...
This 'Intensive Hair Repair System' is found in a 200ml sized black screw-lidded white and gold tub with the Pantene Pro-V logo emblazoned in black writing, along with the gold feathery swish that denotes this range of products.
Promising to 'Repair and Protect' from future styling damage, as well as to hydrate and protect our tresses from the brutality of everyday washing, drying, and styling, I bought this tub alongside the accompanying shampoo and conditioning systems that the company has formulated.
I personally love most of the Pantene range, and as my hair is dry and coarse through over-processing, I thought it was well worth a go to try and give back some of my poor hair's natural nourishment that I harshly strip away on a daily basis.
On the back of the product the consumer is informed this pot contains with a deep nourishing treatment for dry/damaged hair. Well that would definitely be mine then!
After doing the usual wash and condition, I tried this thick white, almost gloop-like in consistency ultra-thick creamy liquid.
It smelt rather nice, like a toiletries product designed for our manes as you would expect - but with a very classy fragranced rich overtone to it.
Within the ingredients it states: 'Parfum', but there is nothing in it that has aggravated my dermatitis, so it must be a very gentle scent indeed that has been added.
Now this intensive treatment is best left in for a good three to five minutes, so use it on a day when you are not in a rush. It says on the tub to massage in from root to tip, but I also think it's a good idea to comb it through as well.
It is very smooth and leaves the hair feeling sleek, hydrated and revitalised. I think it is well worth the £4.99 RRP as an extra deep conditioner to be used a couple of times a week. The 200ml lasts for ages as not a great deal is needed; perhaps the equivalent of a tablespoon scooped between the fingers suffices for medium to long hair when combed through.
The makers also provide a free phone number if the purchaser has any queries, a nice touch methinks...
All in all, a great product to have in the bathroom in my opinion. -well I certainly wouldn't be without it anyway!
Summary: AN EXCELLENT ADDITION IN THE BATHROOM METHINKS.
