Advantages: smells lovely, cheap, get the jobs done

Disadvantages: Can be heavy to carry when travelling

Recently I have noticed that my hair has been suffering from all the blow drying and straightening I have been doing. While shopping at Tesco recently, I browsed the shelves for an intensive conditioner that wouldn't break my bank balance.

Pantene Intensive Hair Repair System
This product claims to repair and protect from future styling damage. It also claims to hydrate and protect your hair from the everyday stresses such as washing, drying and styling.

Packaging
This product comes in a 200ml tub which has a screw off lid. The tub is white and black with the Pantene logo which is outlined in gold. I quite like the fact that this product comes in a tub, which makes it slightly different from your normal conditioners which comes in the usual shampoo style bottles.

Cost
This was a big factor in why I eventually decided to buy this product. I was amazed to find that a 200ml tub of this would only cost me £2. I thought this was brilliant value for money when you consider that the same product for other hair brands were costing more in the region of £6.

Using
This product is very easy to use. Just scoop out as much of the product as you want onto your fingers and then massage into your hair. With my hair, I find that it's the ends which tend to get dry and brittle so I just tend to use this product on the ends of my hair, and not all the way to the roots. You are advised to ensure product is spread evenly from the roots to the tips but I tend to apply it halfway down my hair, all the way to the roots. I then pull my fingers through my hair to ensure it has been applied evenly. You could also do this with a comb. It is suggested that you leave the product in your hair for 3-5 minutes for best results. I always leave the product in for 5 minutes or more.

Texture & Smell
This product has a very thick consistency, almost a bit like jelly. Having said that, the product is easy to scoop out of the tub and extremely easy to apply to your hair. This conditioner smells lovely; it's the same scent as all the other products in the Pantene range and smells pleasant and fresh.

My Opinion
This product certainly gives my hair the effect I was looking for. My hair is left feeling nourished and hydrated and looks in much better condition than it has looked for a long time. I find that a little goes a long way with this product which is great news because it means that a 200ml tub lasts for ages. The smell of this conditioner is very pleasant and the smell lingers on your hair for the rest of the day. I would certainly recommend this product, at £2 a tub; I think it's an absolute bargain.

Summary: A bargain product

I think I've just bought to sachets of this stuff but as yet haven't tried it out , with semi long hair I find mine gets rather dry at the ends so this hopefully will stop all the fly-away -look . Great review .

The Pantene products are really good. I've been using them for years.
