Advantages: Lovely fragrance and great results
Disadvantages: None
Pantene's Smooth and Sleek shampoo has long been my favourite shampoo along with John Frieda's Brilliant Brunette. However, with the latter often being quite expensive if not on offer, I tend to buy Pantene the most as it is the most affordable option and I am very happy with the results.
I have tried a couple of the other shampoo's by Pantene, and have found that the Smooth & Sleek shampoo and conditioner suit by hair the best . I do like a bargain though, so when I spotted this new Nature Fusions by Pantene in my local Asda priced at only £1 for a 250ml bottle, I decided I would try it.
The bottle looks like the usual Pantene range with it's handy flip top, and there were two variations of this shampoo to try - Moisture Balance and Smooth Vitality.
I settled upon Moisture Balance which promises 'touchable softness' . The Nature Fusion range also promises you 10 x the smoothness in 7 days.
What makes this new Nature Fusions range different to other Pantene shampoos is the introduction of nature's Cassia flower.
Native to India and China, the Cassia plant has been used in Ayurvedic and traditional medicines for over 4,700 years, but the understanding of Cassia's potential has only recently begun to be realised.
Pantene science has came up with an advanced Pro-Vitamin formula which is infused with natural Cassia flower complex. A scientific innovation was used to change the properties of the Cassia complex molecule to make it effective as a superior active hair care ingredient.
Inspired by nature and enhanced by science!
My bottle of Moisture Balance Nature Fusion is enriched with Cassia and a unique blend of aloe vera, ginger and calendula extracts to lock in moisture for touchable softness.
The fragrance of this shampoo is really lovely, and reminds me of the Herbal Essences shampoo range before they were recently changed by Clairol.
It has a herbal, flowery fragrance and I think it smells a little of apple too. The shampoo has a thick gel consistency and is a clear dark yellow colour.
I have long hair but found that a little of this shampoo goes a long way as it lathers up really well. After rinsing, I also used the conditioner from this range as I always use conditioner to keep my hair smooth and tangle free. My fingers did indeed glide easily through my hair whilst rinsing.
I wash my hair every day as I suffer from greasy roots and dry ends, and I have been using this shampoo for nearly two weeks now. I have to report that I am really happy with it and will continue to use it.
The fragrance lingers after washing and drying, and my hair does feel really soft and smooth so it delivers all it promises for me.
I liked the feel of my hair after using this for the very first time, but it does seem to have softened and smoothed my hair even more with continued use.
If you suffer from frizzy hair you may wish to try the Smooth Vitality shampoo instead. Again it is enriched with Cassia, but also contains a blend of avocado oil, bamboo and grapeseed extracts to tame frizzy hair and leave it silky and smooth.
Overall I think this shampoo is fantastic and I will definitely be buying some more. I think anyone who used to like the fragrance of the old Herbal Essences range will like this, and fans of other Pantene shampoo's should definitely give this one a try.
Pantene haircare products can often be found on offer in both supermarkets and chemists such as Boots, as part of 3 for 2 offers and buy one get one free, but you can currently get your hands on a 250ml bottle of Pantene Nature Fusions for only £1 at Asda.
Nature Fusions gets five stars from me and I'm off to get some more...
Summary: A lovely new shampoo from Pantene
