Advantages: Defines curls and helps calm frizz
Disadvantages: The bottle
I have naturally curly hair with plenty of frizz.
Normal shampoos and conditioners don't really do a lot for my hair, so I end having to buy a frizz problem product and mousse for this as well.
I bought this pantene product as it was on offer in Tesco, it is available in most supermarkets.
I thought while it was on offer buy one get one free, I will give it a go. £3.49 is the price for this product on its own, and I love my hair but not at these prices, if the product is like normal conditioner.
The last time I tried normal Pantene, I liked it but found because my hair is very thick, that pantene made it feel even thicker and it was very fly away, but had to give this ago, just to see if it did help with curls.
Answer Yes it does help with curly hair.
It is a nice smell, I cant describe the smell, but it is nice. Its quite a silky look when it comes out and it feels rich.
On applying, it doesn't lather up, which is good because proper shampoo's and conditioners shouldn't do this. I didn't have to use more than I normally use on my hair, it went on a smoothed around nicely.
I leave conditioner on for quite a while because of the thickness of my hair, but because of the past with pantene I just left it on about the 3 minutes.
Rinsing was fine too, and you could feel the softness of my hair in the rinsing, that was another brownie point.
After drying my hair I have to say, my hair did feel slightly thicker, but wasn't fly away and my frizz was slightly under control, but my curls where noticeable and I hadn't used any products yet. I ended up only needing my mousse, which was good.
So this product is very good for Curly hair, it helps calm frizz, not like frizz calming problems, but you can get away with not using these products. And it does define your curls.
In my book a good buy.
The downfall to pantene conditioner's is their bottle. Its very tough to squeeze and when you only have 1/4 of the bottle left, that's when you struggle, it maybe because I have small hands, I am not sure, but it is very hard to squeeze the product out, I end up getting annoyed. They need to make the plastic less tough, so that way I could actually finish a bottle of the conditioner.
Summary: A good conditioner for curly hair
