Advantages: Repairs, protects
Disadvantages: Could be a little more moisturising
When it comes to hair care I feel Pantene may be somewhat a cult classic. I've always liked this brand and the distinct smell never fails to whisk me straight back to my care free teen hood.
I manged to pick up a 250ml bottle for £1.69, at a local shop, however pricing may vary between this and about £2.50.
So what is the selling point:
This particular shampoo, Pantene pro v repair and protect has been developed for use on dry, damaged hair. The nourishing formula helps to 'heal' and moisturiser the hair from the roots, giving more shine and a sleeker look. It has a creamy texture and you only need a small amount (I have long hair and I use a 10p size drop), it lathers well and is easy to rinse. Thankfully it doesn't leave a residue as I have found so many moisturising shampoos to be heavy, making your hair look more weighty than sleek (and no one wants that!).
Conclusion:
I did find my hair a lot softer, easy to manage and there did appear to have less visible split ends. Combined with other products in the range, such as the heat protecting spray. I do think that this product will continue to protect against any future styling damage.
Summary: Pleasant smell, creamy texture, doesn't weigh your hair down.
