I decided to try Pantene Pro V Repair and Protect Conditioner due to the fact that yes, I overuse my hair straighteners. Every time I get my hair cut the hairdresser comments on the fact that my hair is so dry, despite me conditioning every time I wash my hair.

I decided to give it a go as on the advert and bottles Pantene say "Healthy Looking Hair In 10 Days", what did I have to loose?

I bought my bottle for just under £2.00 in Wilkinson, with the shampoo the same price. It's a large 400ml white plastic bottle, with a flip lid at the bottom. The bottle is great as because the lid is at the bottom the conditioner is already there, meaning you don't struggle to get any out.

The conditioner says on the back it is for people that have dry/ damaged hair and that are prone to split ends. I ticked all of those boxes. Pantene Pro V Repair and Protect Collection also claims to:

* Improve hair moisture balance
* Helps prevent split ends
* Protects against future styling or combing damage

Well all of this seemed a bit too good to be true for me, but I thought I would try it and see. For the first couple of days nothing really changed, but then I think that would be expecting miracles for my hair. However within a couple of weeks my hair was definitely noticeably less try to the touch, and it looked a lot healthier and shiny.

I continued to use the conditioner and several weeks on my hair is in the best condition it has been in in years. It is smooth and soft, shiny and best of all about 70% less dry than before. I still style my hair but it doesn't seem to matter as the conditioner seems to protect as well.

I love this conditioner and wouldn't use anything else, it has kept my hair healthy and a lot stronger than before. And at the price it is (and often on buy one get one free offers) it is superb value for money.

Summary: Superb, and does exactly what it says on the tin (bottle! lol)
