Advantages: Leaves hair soft, smooth and managable. Smells great. Great value.

Disadvantages: Quite hard to wash out.

My hair is in good condition now but it took me time, numerous trips to the hairdressers and countless conditioning products to get here. Personally I think a good heat protector (only if you use straighteners / hairdryers obviously) and an effective deep conditioning mask are essential to keep your hair as healthy as possible and my long time favourite treatment is Pantenes "Repair and Protect: Intensive Hair Repair Treatment".

This product promises to 'help hydrate and protect to give healhy looking shiny hair' and to 'protect it from future styling damage'. It claims to be deep conditioning and nourishing for hair that is dry, damaged and prone to split ends. With regular use it promises to leave your hair looking healthy, shiny and better protected. It is packaged in a small tub (I think it has changed since the picture up there...) with all the information you need printed onto it. It has a dark blue screw top lid that is easy to use and open so no complaints so far :-)
The product itself feels just like a really rich, thick conditioner and has the same feintly fruity scent found in most of Pantenes products.

I apply once or twice a week after shampooing and conditioning, before leaving it on my hair for around 10 minutes. The pot says to leave it for only 3-5 minutes but personally I find the longer I can leave it on for, the better the results. I massage it gently through my hair, concentrating on the lower lengths and ends before rinsing it with cool water.
Due to the thick consistency of this product it almost 'sets' in the hair and can be tricky to remove so you have to rinse it extremely well or you may be left with some residue - especially around the ears and forehead.

I've also found this works very well if applied to damp hair which is then wrapped in a towel / shower cap / celophane and left to sit for half an hour plus before being rinsed.

After use my hair is instantly smoother and tangle free and after drying and straightening it is visibly sleeker, softer and feels extremely lightweight and managable.
I also find my hair stays straighter for longer after using "Intensive Hair Repair Treatment" which in turn reduces the amount of heat I have to use on it.

Although this product cannot performs miracles or mend split ends it has definately had a brilliant effect on my hair. It is generally easy to manage and style and I can run my fingers throughout it without finding any tangles or dry / coarse patches.
As mentioned before I use this about one or two times a week - sometimes more, sometimes less - and the 200ml tub lasts me about a month, so at £3.99 a go it is great value for me too.

I would definately recommend this treatment to anyone with slightly dry or overstyled hair looking for a quick and easy way to give it a little more life. There are a few more for different hair types in the range too so there should be something for you :-)

Summary: Will continue to repurchase.
