Advantages: Makes your hair feel soft and shiny
Disadvantages: No need for it if you have naturally healthy shiny hair
If you feel a bit concerned about the condition of your coloured hair, don't worry, as this product works a treat, at least thats what I have found. These days hair has such a lot to deal with, not only extremes of weather, but dyes, straighteners etc. I love hair products, when I was young all we had as far as I can remember was shampoo and hairspray which took away the shine, and acted like a hard setting glue, so I never used it. Once I did try a sort of orangey dye, but had to face the wrath of my mother, hard to imagine nowadays.
Salons now are full of wonderful smelling products with fantastic names, after party, hair junkie etc. , would love to buy them all, but they are far from cheap. To be honest, I can't remember exactly what I paid for the Pantene spray, but it was certainly well under £5 and provides a good alternative, though less excitingly packaged. Hairdressers probably wouldn't recommend it as naturally they have to promote their own products.
The Pantene spray is part of the pro-v restorative range. The 150ml plastic pump spray lasts for ages. There is quite a long list of ingredients, many of which sound very chemically-DMDM Hydantoin for example, or Butylphenyl Methylpropional , these are interspersed with more reassuring ingredients such as Aqua, or Castor Oil.Mainly chemicals however. Never mind it smells light and lovely. The perfume is not intrusive, but is really nice, and floral, newly washed hair smelling like this would make you feel good. I can only speak for myself, but sometimes I get a really itchy scalp, but most definitely haven't had that after using this. Its made by Proctor and Gamble.
According to the bottle after a light spraying of the hair at bedtime you can expect " the beauty of your hair restored and renewed".My hair is looking OK, and it has to be said that when I run my fingers through it , it now feels great, soft and silky smooth. I have also noticed that it seems to blow dry nicely at the moment, possibly the cut I had recently was above average.
So, if you have coloured hair, this has been made for you, and I thoroughly recommend it. The pack is a bit nondrescript, and easy to miss, so look out for it when you next visit Boots.
Although I will happily give this lovely product 5 stars for coloured treated hair, back in mum lecture mode, if you're young I still think nothing can beat natural, shiny , healthy hair.
Summary: A favourite buy. Economical
