Advantages: Actually does what it says on the bottle.
Disadvantages: More directions on use.
Since using hair straighteners almost everyday and with the current heat my hair has become horrible, frizzy and uncontrollable.
I have been happy using Original Source shampoo and conditioner but I think my hair has got used to it now after using it for a year. So I thought it was time for a change but wasn't to sure what was a good product and not.
On TV I saw the Pantene ProV 10 day challenge and decided to see if it worked for me.
I went into my local Boots and found the Pantene ProV products, they have quite a few products for different hair types and 2 stuck out for me, Repair & Protect and Smooth & Sleek.
I read the bottles and decided that Smooth & Sleek would suit my hair more and so I picked up a small bottle of the shampoo & conditioner.
- What It Claims To Do -
_____________________
Smooth & Sleek shampoo claims to fight frizz and give your hair a smooth, silky feel throughout the day.
It's enriched with amino Pro-V complex formula which controls the frizz and gives the smooth look.
The conditioner not only helps with the smoothness & softness but also gives a healthy feel and look to your hair.
It also says it this helps to make styling easier.

I have been using it for a while now and I have noticed a big difference in my hair.
On the Pantene ProV 10 day challenge website it says 'Notice a difference in 10 days' but after the first use I noticed my hair was a lot more controllable and less frizzy.
When I looked at the directions on first use I found them to be very standard and not that informative. Standard is good, but maybe it could say how much your meant to use and how long it's to be left in for.
The white bottle stands on the dark blue flip lid, it's very easy to open and you don't have to squeeze the bottle very hard for the white, thick, milky, soft looking substance to come out.
Almost right away I noticed the fragrance, it is lovely but rather hard to describe. A bit like a very mild flower or fruity smell. But I do think men could get away using the product too!
It looks thick but once you rub it into your hair it feels nice and thin. It's very easy to rub in and spread through out. I used around 2 pea sized amounts which was plenty for my longish thick hair.
When I had massaged the conditioner in, it gave an automatic smooth feel. I left the conditioner in for approx 2-3 minutes before I rinsed out thoroughly.
I rinsed my hair until the water became clear and I felt it had all come out.
I have only let my hair dry naturally since using Pantene as I normally do and even doing this I have noticed a difference. Instead of my hair being frizzy and thick it went straighter, the thickness was still there but it was a lot more controllable and frizz was non-existent.
When I ran my fingers through my hair they glide through beautifully with no knots!
Straightening my hair has been a lot better too. I still use my heat defence spray but because my hair is now a lot more smoother the plates of the straighter glide through really well.
Overall my hair has a much more shiny healthy look which I am very pleased about!
I don't wash my hair everyday as I find doing so gives a greasy look so I wash it every other day.
With my previous shampoo and conditioner I found on the day of my hair wash, my hair was becoming slightly greasy, but if I washed it everyday it would still look greasy!
So far I have stuck with washing every other day and the Pantene shampoo and conditioner lasts really well keeping my hair looking clean and non-greasy!
I have also tried washing it everyday to see what happens and again it hasn't made my hair greasy so I think it's suitable for many people.
Another thing that the bottle does not state is what to do if you get the product in your eyes.
Unfortunately while conditioning I flicked my head causing some to get into my eye. It did sting but surprisingly not alot. I just rinsed my eye with water and dabbed it with a towel, after that my eye felt normal as if it had never happened.
I would say because it doesn't sting all that much it's suitable for an older child to use, again on the bottle it doesn't say they can't use it.
The fragrance of the conditioner matches the shampoo and it gives my now healthy, controllable hair a clean, fresh smell. I find the fragrance lingers for quite a while which is nice especially in between washes.

I love the results I get from this product. My hair is now definitely beautifully smooth through out the day as described on the bottle. As I have said frizz is no more and I can finally control my hair!
I'm not entirely sure how well the conditioner works if you don't use the matching shampoo, but for the results described I would suggest to use the shampoo aswell.
Compared to branded hair products I think Pantene Pro V is reasonably priced and for the results doesn't brake the bank!
I can't think of any disadvantages except for the bottle needing a little bit more information on how to use it and what happens when you get it into your eyes. Other wise it's all advantages!
5 Stars- Highly recommended.

Summary: A fantasic conditioner that works!
