Advantages: it works
Disadvantages: doesnt completely tame frizz
I have naturally frizzy hair which can sometimes be a right pain, especially on the fringe where it all ruffles up and goes kinky and dry. I know some people like the dry and kinked look, but I like smooth and straight, so it is crucial that I use a shampoo and conditioner which delivers this.
Pantene is the most popular haircare range in the UK and it is not surprising, their products are quite cheap and they generally deliver good results. I have been trying out lots of different shampoos of late and also using the matching conditioner. I tried this one recently to see how it would affect my hair.
How To Use:
After a shampoo, I dispensed a small glob of this into the palm of my hand. It comes out quite quickly and in a thick white liquid. You need about the size of a ten pence piece, which should then be worked through from root to tip. I tend to leave it on for about a minute to reap the full benefits.
I then rinsed with warm water, followed by a cooler blast which helps to seal the hair shaft. I blotted dry with a towel before drying the hair on a low heat hairdryer.
Results:
Not bad results actually. It definitely gave the hait a polished look and running my hands through it felt sleek without that greasy residue that some conditioners can leave. Did it tame the hair though? Well it did help a little with the frizz, but I still had the kinks round the side and front, though these can be rectified with a good straighten. What is did deliver was managable and shiny hair.
You will pay about three pounds for a large bottle of this stuff and if you use it in conjuction with the shampoo you well get pleasing results. Worth trying out if you want to get sleeker hair.
Summary: quite good
