I always purchase Straightening Shampoo from various brands as my hair is naturally very tight curls and I need any product I can get my hands on to tame down down these curls when I want to straighten my hair. As a rule I normally tend to stick of Avon Advanced Techniques Straight n Sleek Shampoo and conditioner, or sometimes when I have a few extra pennies, I will treat myself to Umberto Gianini's straightening shampoo and conditioner, however I was in the chemist a week ago and I came across Pantene Pro V Smooth & Sleek Shampoo, which was on offer, half price at £1.50, so I thought I may as well try it out, you never know so at that time I was quite ... Katsumoto from "The Last Samurai" said (rather profoundly) "You can spend your entire life looking for a perfect blossom and it wouldn't be a wasted life....". Well, the same goes for shampoo! Every shampoo I've tried, has excelled in all categories and failed spectacularly on one aspect (see opinion on "Dove shampoo"). But I think my quest may finally be over! Pantene was one of the pioneers of "hair nourishing" shampoos so it was good bet that they'd be the best on the market. The "Smooth & Sleek" shampoo seems to do it all and then some! At this juncture, I should point out that before I started using this ... Read the complete review

If you read my previous review then you will have seen that I have recently tried the Pantene Sleek and Smooth conditioner, buying the conditioner was part of a deal exclusive to Tesco where you buy 2 bottles of Pantene for the price of £4.00. As part of the deal I decided to buy the shampoo of the same variety, the Sleek and Smooth Product. As I said in the review on the conditioner I used to buy the L'Oreal shampoo but as I am always on the look out for a bargain when I could not find the L'Oreal brand it was the Pantene product that jumped out. Pantene have a number of different products available on the market, each product being suitable for ... Read the complete review

Now I have been using Pantene Pro-V for just over a year, as before that I was sure that I had heard that this particular shampoo range was not good for your hair at all and I would not touch it with a barge pole!! Well last year my sons girlfriend decided for my birthday to buy me a large cosmetic bag and fill it with shampoo, conditioner, body cream, hair brush, mirror, flannel ect.. all being in minature versions as my eldest son was getting married and I could use these for when we went away for that weekend. I thought it was so thoughtful but then I saw the Pantene shampoo and conditioner shock horror ran through me!!!! So after many weeks of ... Read the complete review

I have tried many different types of shampoo and conditioner over the last few years in hopes of finding something that will help control my static problem. I have long hair that is very thick and a little wild, which is why I tried this one; after all it was recommended! Firstly, let me tell you a little about the company that produces Pantene ProV. They are Proctor & Gamble and they acquired Pantene in 1985 when they took over Richardson-Vicks. A Swiss Drug Company called Hoffman-La Roche originally formulated the product in 1947. The name 'Pantene' refers to the products origins, from 'panthenol' which is another name ... Read the complete review
