Advantages: Gives a decent shine
Disadvantages: Gave me frizzys from hell
After using shampoo I never dream of not using conditioner. I find I just cant get away with not using it and I feel like something is missing. So after using Pantene Time Renewal Shampoo of course I used this. I have written a review on the shampoo already but to recap it was ok on most aspects of washing my hair though I felt it didn't leave me with an amazing fresh feel to my hair. However as I just said I always use a conditioner and after that I styled so really not only am I reviewing the conditioner but the overall result of both products within this review as I guess you do when ever you review a conditioner lol
The Packaging...
A 200ml white recyclable tube which dispenses from the bottom and has a black flip cap. Tells me clearly what the product is and who it is by. On the back tells me directions for use, ingredients and contact details for Procter & Gamble (the manufacturers). It's a nice bottle.
Directions For Use....
Apply to wet hair after shampooing. Comb through hair with fingers beginning at the tips where conditioning is most needed, and work into the roots well.
The Promise....
'This advanced system helps fight signs of damage by restoring hair's sheen and silky feel'.
Using It....
Well I washed my hair through twice with the shampoo and then put some of this through. It doesn't take much at all to coat your hair and I did it according to the directions. The cream is a light lilac, creamy and quite thick in texture. The smell is like fruit oil and to my nostrils not as strong as the matching shampoo as the edge is taken off with the creaminess of it and that was a relief cos I really didn't like the smell of the shampoo one little bit, it actually made me feel quite sick.
Hair drinks it in and rinsing it out is easy. I comb my hair before drying it and the fragrance on my hair was pleasant and not overwhelmingly fruity.
However the drying process caused me aggravation.I wasn't going out so I didn't use styling products. Now because of this fact I expected frizz and all I wanted was dry, clean hair I could tie back. I've never had so much frizz through my mid section of my hair before! Normally I get it throughout and particularly at the ends but this was a new concept to me. It made the bits normally frizzy smooth and bits that don't go frizzy normally, frizzy as hell. Hair felt light and fluffy and a little bit to over conditioned giving me a fly away fringe.
However hair did have the feeling of smooth for the majority of it and in the end cos hair looked so messy even though I wasn't going out I quickly ran my straighteners over it and with no styling products and that did get rid of the frizz though my hair still felt actually too soft and 'fluffy. Hair did shine though really well.
Overall....
Well I think this is over conditioning to someone with longer hair like me. My mum has short hair and likes it well enough but said for the price she wouldn't purchase it again and that's the only reason. For me it made my hair soft and smooth and silky but made my hair to 'big' and I like a sleek look. Great for people with dry hair I would think.
Suitable for all the family and suitable for everyday usage.
Ingredients....
'Aqua, Stearyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Behentrimonium Chloride, Cetyl Alcohol, Isopropyl Alcohol, Benzyl Alcohol, Parfum, Disodium EDTA, Panthenol, Panthenyl Ethyl Ether, Limonene, Linalool, Hexyl Cinnamal, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Sodium Hydroxide, Citronellol, Magnesium Nitrate, Cl 42090, Cl 17200, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Magnesium Chloride, Methylisothiazolinone.

- 27/01/08 I've tried this - it's okay, but not worth the price I think. |
