Advantages: Leaves hair well moisturised, glossy and smooth
Disadvantages: Unsure whether it really does take the years off or just moisturises well
I'm a big fan of all things Pantene and although I do like to chop and change my shampoo and conditioner on a (very) regular basis, I find that I usually come back to Pantene.
Pantene launched their Time Renewal haircare range in 2008, the range includes shampoo, conditioner, intensive conditioner, leave-in conditioner and 'powershots.' They seemed to be very keen to push this range and I ended up with four sets of samples of this conditioner from various sources.
It tends to be a little more expensive than other Pantene products at around £3 for 200mls, although as with all Pantene products it's always worth looking out for offers.
I wasn't really sure what to expect from this product, the Pantene promise is regular use will restore your hair to how it looked two years ago.
This first surprise was that the product was a light blue colour rather than the cream colour I've come to expect from Pantene. It did have the typical Pantene smell which I love, but there is another scent mixed in as well - it reminded me of the smell of Aussie haircare products.
I used the conditioner whilst washing my hair as usual it was easily absorbed into my wet hair and didn't require a large amount. As is typical with Pantene conditioners, the conditioner was very thick. I left the it in my hair for around 5 minutes as I would normally do and then rinsed it out. It rinsed out very easily and quickly.
I blowdried my hair as usual and was very impressed with the results. I'd felt my hair was looking a little flat beforehand, and after using the conditioner I felt there was more volume to it, I have pretty thick hair and it didn't make my hair too thick, it was just right! My hair was smooth and glossy as I would expect it to be and I was quite happy and impressed. As to whether it takes two years off my hair I have no idea, it doesn't get rid of grey!!
I'm not sure that this is any more effective than a normal moisturising conditioner and for that reason I don't think I would buy this again unless it was on offer.
Summary: Lovely conditioner!
