      Paul Mitchell color protect hair

I am a natural blond but these days it's a bit dull mixed with lots of grey so every couple of months I get my highlights done at my local salon. This past time I went I had my hair done on something called Happy Mondays where you get a cut colour and finish for just, I say just, £75 instead of my usual £100 ish mark. I think this is quite good value so I'm going to continue to get my hair done on a Monday. Included in that and something I wasn't aware of before I booked was that I also got a care package which consisted of this shampoo, conditioner and a spray. I was quite pleased as I am always looking for ways to keep my colour bright and vibrant and to make it last as long as possible. I can imagine that if you by this pack separately it is quite expensive so I was pleased to get it "free".

According to the packaging, Paul Mitchell color protect daily shampoo is "the perfect way to protect your colour treated hair! This mild and gentle daily shampoo helps to extend the colour life of your hair, protecting it from the damaging environment.
Paul Mitchell Colour Protect Daily Shampoo contains sunscreens and panthenol, which add strength, elasticity and body to your hair, whilst intensifying shine and extending the life and providing protection to your colour-treated hair."

The shampoo comes in a rather small bottle that looks very professional and just like a shampoo you would buy in a salon. The shampoo has a gel like consistency to it and it's a clear liquid. I find it very easy to use. My hair lathers up fairly well although I do find that I have to use quite a bit of product to get a good lather. The gel has a nice fresh smell to it and again smells just like the type of shampoo hairstylists use in a salon.

I've used this for about a month now and really like it. Unfortunately the bottle is nearly done so I need to book another colour on a Monday to get more free! I feel like my colour has stayed brighter and more toned for longer by using this and I will continue to use it for as long as I can and in conjunction with the conditioner and spray.
