There are a lot of male hairdresser shampoos on the market, Lee Stafford, Andrew Collinge and Paul Mitchell being just three of many. I have tried various Paul Mitchell products in the past and been sufficiently impressed. At the pricier end of the market, they aim to offer something for the more discerning buyer. Recently, I have been on a stricter hair regime budget, but in the days of more money, I used to dip into his range.
This is a unique shampoo in that it aims to balance the hair's moisture levels and plump it out with lots of delicious volume. How does it do this though? The key ingredient is wheat protein. It is a known fact that protein rich foods enhance healthy hair, like fish and nuts, so it figures that if a shampoo injects protein into its ingredients, then the hair will benefit. Wheat protein is a common ingredient in pricier shampoos and is very effective at nourishing malnutrioned hair. It sooths the shaft of the hair and helps to build the fibres back to a healthy state.
This shampoo is nice to use, with a pleasing lather and a pleasant enough aroma. Nothing too fruity, but potent enough to make you feel like you're getting a good old wash. It rinses well and already in the towel drying phase it leaves hair feeling alert yet calmed and more buoyant. After I dried mine, it did seem to have gained in volume and had a radiant feel to it, with plenty of bounce. It can be used on a daily basis and it also helps to balance moisture levels. As I don't get very greasy hair, I did not notice too many developments here, but as an overall shampoo is does deliver good results and the ingredients are all high quality. The price tag will put you off, varying from anything from eight to fifteen pounds!
another product that i found for 80% off and decided to give it a try, i was very much impressed. it is a simple shampoo that has a lovely smell of fresh apples. it is moisturizing enough...and leaves hair feeling very clean and light. i find that using it in conjunction of The Rinse works well as the two have the same scent and seem to go together. this shampoo would be great for any hair type has it adds a some moisture but not a ton, but moisturizes well enough that it shows improvement to dry hair.
I use The Wash after using shampoo three and it is a lovely shampoo to use. It is really rich, thick and luxurious and smells just great. I normally let it soak in for a minute, but that is personal. Because I highlite my hair frequently it needs a good moisturiser and The Wash is definitely doing that. It leaves my hair looking great and it feels soft and shiny. I find that a second shampoo is not necessary, but that is personal. The shampoo contains a complex of special moisture balancing conditioners and essential amino acids that continue to perform and protect throughout the day. It is suitable for normal to fine and chemically treated hair. And it is excellent for hair and skin. You only need to use a little bit so a bottle goes a long way. Again I need to say that ask your hairdresser if this shampoo is suitable for your hair. Because we all know that no hair is the same.
