From time to time I suffer from an itchy scalp and used TGel shampoo whenever this flared up to cope with it. This product was recommended to me as an alternative to the afore mentioned shampoo which didn't seem to be aiding in the treatment.

The 250ml bottle that I have comes in a simple box, inside of which is a white cylindrical shaped bottle with a transparent flip top lid. There is a small hole from which to dispense the shampoo which is far better than the usual large holes as it's much easier to get out just the right amount.
-What is it?-
As the name suggests, this is a shampoo that is an 'award-winning shampoo formulated specifically to relieve and clear flaking and/or itchy scalps.' It claims to 'leave hair shiny and manageable, whilst quickly clearing it of irritation. It will not strip the hair of colour or irritate the scalp.'
On the packaging it suggests that this product is initially used daily to cleanse the scalp and after that, at regular intervals as required. This is great for my type of hair as I tend only to wash it 3 times a week due to the frizzy nature of it.
Only a small amount is needed to lather up, making sure that you get it on to your scalp not just your hair. I tend to leave this on for a few minutes before rinsing it off although the instructions don't specify this. It's more of a psychological thing for me as I think it's working it's magic a little more, the longer it's kept on.
The shampoo has a slight yellowy / orange tinge to it when looking in to the bottle. The smell is for me far better than TGel shampoo that I had previously used. It hasn't got an overpowering aroma but smells fresh and clean and a little bit fruity.
As for the effectiveness of this product. It so far has worked on my itchy / flaky scalp which I get once in a while. I tend to use this once a week now just keep the symptoms under control and I have to say that the flakiness doesn't occur as much as it used to so overall for me, it does exactly what it promises with the exception of leaving my hair shiny, largely due to the fact that I haven't got that type of hair!
I've had this for quite some time now and still have half the bottle left due to the fact that only a small amount is needed on a weekly basis so although it seemed expensive at the time, it's lasted.
