Sorry if this sounds less than enthusiastic, I just reckon that there's only so much you can expect from a hair dryer (i.e. making your hair drier) and I think they will probably never do your hair much good (they're still blasting it with hot air) . This one does it's job quickly and efficiently though. It has enough power to cope with long hair whilst not blasting too much for you to be able to style etc. It's solid ...more

Crowned Review Philips Tresemme HP4982/07 Salon Control Ionic Shine: Get A Salon Look (1518 words)

I'm really fussy with my hair, for me money is never an issue when it comes to my hair as I'm a real girly girl and like to spend time on getting my hair just perfect and with that comes the money to buy the right products that will suit my hair type. I've had so many hairdryers over the years, my last one being a Nicky Clarke product which I was really satisfied with, that is, until it died on me after about 8 months. It was a 2000 watt so quite powerful and was able to dry my hair in minimal time. I like taking care of my appearance as much as the next girl does but blow-drying my hair is one of my biggest pet hates. With this in mind, after my ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review I'm still not sure what the pretty little blue light is for! (661 words)

I haven't got a great track record with hairdryers - expensive ones, cheap ones; they all have tended to give up the ghost on me. One of my main reasons for purchasing this hairdryer about 6 months ago was price - at £18.85 currently on Amazon (I bought mine for £18.86 at Asda) it didn't seem a huge risk. It has actually proved to be a very good purchase. What you get in the box: This is a basic hairdryer with a detachable blow dry nozzle and a 3 metre long cable. It is sleek and shiny black and has 2 speed settings, 2 heat settings, a cold button and also a "turbo boost" button. There is an ionic button as well which can ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Philips Tresemme HP4982/07 Salon Control Ionic Shine: Phillips Tressemme Hairdryer - It will blow you away!! (397 words)

I have never been a great lover of hair drying. I find it tiresome and boring. It is for this reason that I cut all my hair off. Big mistake..but we will leave that story for another day!! I have been through so many ahirdryers in my life time. Every time I get one it seems to decide it doesn't like me and pack up within 2 weeks. It either overheats or just breaks. I am currently the proud owner of th Phillips Tresemme Salon control Ionic shine, and touch wood so far so good. In fact I have had this for 2 years now and nothing has gone wrong with it. That's a long time for a hairdryer don't you think? Not only is it indestructable but it ...  Read the complete review

To be honest, to me a hairdryer is a hairdryer and I can't say they get me that excited. This one seems to do it's job pretty well though. It can be really quite fast but you can adjust both heat and er....wind speed(?). It has the ability to fire ions at your head and some people say this makes your hair sleeker whilst others say it makes it dry faster. I can't really say I've noticed much difference either way. Sorry if this sounds less than enthusiastic, I just reckon that there's only so much you can expect from a hair dryer (i.e. making your hair drier) and I think they will probably never do your hair much good (they're still blasting it with hot air) . Premium Review Philips Tresemme HP4982/07 Salon Control Ionic Shine: I love this hairdryer! (155 words)

I love this hairdryer! My husband works for a company who gave a selection of gifts to chosse from one Christmas and as my hairdryer at the time was getting a bit old and he is so thoughtful he decided to choose it for me. I like the fact it's not too fussy, I always get a good finish from it and find I don't get static hair after using it. It's not too noisy either which is good as I get up before my other half and don't want to wake him up whilst using it. I got this dryer free but considering that it retails at under £20 it's very reasonable and is guaranteed to last a decent amount of time. It's also not too heavy which is a consideration if you like to style ...  Read the complete review
