      A great treatment for blondies

This is a review of Pro:Voke Touch Of Silver Shine Weekly Treatment which I bought from Amazon recently to treat my blonde hair.

      What is it?
The shampoo is designed for white or platinum hair to get brilliant results on your hair colour. I don't have white, grey or platinum hair but it is blond and can get a bit on the brassy side so I hoped to make it a bit nicer using this weekly treatment.

      The claim
      * Formulated with violet pigment to treat yellowing, fading & dullness
      * Actively neutralises brassy, yellow tones in grey, white & platinum blonde hair
      * Two applications a week is enough to keep brassiness at bay.
      * For grey, white or platinum blonde hair
      * The Result: bright, vibrant dazzling shine

      In use
I was really scared when I first used this shampoo as it looked like indigo coloured ink in my hand. You are warned on the label to steer clear of clothes as it will stain and I can imagine you'd never get it out of a white towel! I had read reviews and used the normal every day shampoo from this range and that also looks like it will stain but this one is totally intense! I used a 50p sized amount to lather up on my hair and watched as the purple foam built up. I thought I was on for a blue rinse at least but actually once rinsed out of my hair there was no staining or purple hair left. My hair was fresh and clean and I also used the conditioner from the range (review to come!).

      Results
I mentioned earlier that I don't have white blonde hair so I didn't get a massive result from this shampoo but I do think that the lighter bits of my hair looked more bright. I am getting ready for a dye job so this did not do anything for my darker roots but I felt it got my hair clean. As it is a weekly treatment I am careful not to overuse and I also have the daily shampoo from the range.

      My thoughts
I was pleased with the shampoo and continue to use it on a weekly basis. If it goes on the shower tiles I rinse immediately to avoid any permanent stains. It definitely looks scary before you use it but it does rinse out easily.

      Price
This shampoo is a bargain at £2.03 on Amazon (it comes in a slightly smaller bottle at 150ml). I bought all three to include this and the daily shampoo and conditioner for just over a fiver and have been pleased with all three.

      Final word
For the price paid I think this is an amazing product that works to salon standards. Obviously you need to be careful about it staining clothes and surfaces but if used correctly there should be no problems. Definitely a repurchase on the cards for me.
