Hairdryer

With Little Miss liking all things pink (and lilac) it was only a matter of time before a pink hairdryer entered the house.

PRODUCT AND PACKAGING

Thankfully I get into the pink (naturally!) box easily and even better is the fact that once inside, I didn't have to do anything- hairdryer was all set up and just required plugging in.

The hairdryer itself is a kind of pearlescent pink colour which is attractive in that it's not overly gharish. The removable styling nozzle, which can be used to direct the air onto a small area of hair is black as is the trim around the back of the hair dryer and down the sides. The air inlet at the back and also (as I expected) the cord is black as are the switches.

On the front of the handle there are 2 switches. The cool button can be pressed down for cooler air, and this is popular with Little Miss who hates the hot air on her head. To get the air back to normal simply release the button. Underneath the cool button is an on/off switch which is labelled 0, 1, 2, 3. As expected, if I push the switch to 0 the hair dryer is turned off, and the numbers dictate the speed of the air flow, with 1 being low, 2 medium and 3 being high and able to dry even thick hair quickly, especially if we don't use the nozzle.

On the bottom of the handle is a hanging loop obviously useful if you want to hang up the hair dryer; good because Little Miss feels she has a "proper" hair dresser hair dryer.

As well as the actual hairdryer we also get a leaflet giving instructions and also the usual warnings about the use of a hairdryer and instructions as to how to connect to the mains supply. Most of this is common sense as are the instructions, but needs must!

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY...

I bought this from a local retailer and it cost £4.99. I haven't found a website for prolectrix but a general search shows the hair dryer can be bought on line.

OTHER BITS OF INFORMATION...

The product is made by Ultimate products Ltd.

The hair dryer is guaranteed for 12 months and if there are any problems, should be returned to the retailer from where it was purchased.

VERDICT...

The hairdryer is 1800w and as such gives plenty of blow to dry hair with minimum of fuss.

There are 2 styling nozzles, both slightly different but both there to do the same job. This means that i can make an effort to actually style Little miss's hair. However, when we use it without the nozzle I find that no hair gets trapped in the air vent thing which has happened in one other hair dryer.
We don't use the hanging loop but if it's required, it is nice and thick and I would imagine it doesn't fray and should be able to easily hold the weight of the hairdryer.

This is a nice lightweight hair dryer, which can be used with supervision by children. The colour is clearly a hit for anyone who likes pink, and the price and quality makes it one for me to recommend.
