The Razor’s Edge on Oxford Rd is my local hairdressers, but until last week I had never been. There were a few things that put me off, but the main one was their sign – the font they’ve used is a blurry slurry one and I just couldn’t figure out what they were called, which used to annoy me. Quy can obviously read better than I can though, because as we were driving past one day I mentioned that I was thinking of going in there and he replied with “Where? Razor’s Edge?”. I arrived at razors edge at dead on 10, the time I had booked my appointment to begin. I hoped, having a reasonably early appointment would mean the hairdresser couldn't be running too far behind and I shouldn't have to wait too long. I was wrong. When I arrived the extremely grumpy receptionst took my name and told me to sit down. I sat down in the tiny waiting area and flicked through a few magazines from the surprisingly large and recent selection. By 10:15 I was gettin impatient, I'd arranged to meet a friend at 11:15. I work for one of the universities and walk past Razors Edge almost every morning, however it was a female colleague at work who recommended the place and as my normal hair cut is by a barber I was a little dubious about dipping my toe (never mind my hair) into that particular water ! but I?m glad I did !
