Advantages: soft hair, lasts ages

Disadvantages: expensive

I have textbook difficult hair - dry at the ends with a tending to frizzing, and greasy at the roots. It's also incredibly thick and generally the kind of hair that makes my hairdresser weep when he sees me walk through that door! I have always struggles to find decent shampoos as if a mistake is made my hair is left even drier for weeks. Knowing this problem, my hairdresser recommended All Soft - in fact insisted upon it - and I haven't looked back.

Previously, with my 'problem' hair, I feel like I have used every product on the market. Prior to All Soft I was using Aussie Moisture shampoo, because, according to all the magazine reviews etc I have read it is one of the best shampoos - unfortunately it did nothing for me, even though it is supposedly designed specifically for my kind of hair, but I had the same problems I always have - drying and frizzyness.

All Soft shampoo contains Avocado Oil, which apparently is what softens your hair - I'm no scientist and have no idea about that or why it works - but I can tell you that this great stuff - it really makes my hair soft to the touch and smooths it down so it's really shiny.

All Soft products are dermatologically tested so good for the greens out there, and believe me, they smell divine - leaving your hair smelling fresh and sweet. I have actually had people saying 'oooh your hair smells nice!' - I tell you, that's a great one for the ego.

Some people may wince at the higher price of Redken, but you only need a tiny blob - size of a 10 pence piece - and this is what I use on my v thick shoulder length hair. Don't be tempted to dollops tonnes on to make it all nice and frothy - you may note that it doesn't froth up as much as your usual shampoo and worry that your hair isn't getting a good clean - but no panicking now! the only thing that makes cheaper shampoos really bubbly is the amount of soap in them - now that can't be too
good for your hair. I pay between £7 and £9 each for the shampoo and conditioner in All Soft and I tell you this stuff lasts for ages - a lot longer than those cheaper products that you have to pile on.

The Shampoo is 300ml and a bottle lasts me about 5 months, washing my hair every second day - that sounds like pretty good value for money to me!

My hair is now shiny, managable and smooth (yes I know I sound like a TV advert). You'll be able to find a Redken for pretty much any type of hair, they have stuff for long hair, dry hair, dyed hair, and probably anything else you can think of - so that wouldn't be an excuse! The main thing that puts people off is the price, but these days it's really not much more expensive than the 'classier' shampoos they sell in Supermarkets etc - and it's definitely worth the extra couple of quid. Also, I sometimes find it difficult to get hold of (I have a feeling Boots and Superdrug etc don't stock it) - but once you find your local Redken sponsored salon you'll be sorted.
Happy hair product hunting!

I've got problem hair too, but I'm a bloke, so tend not to worry about it!
