i tried regaine years ago.i think then that it had just come onto the market.at£80 for 6months treatment it was a lot of cash in those days.i was told that it would be about 4months before i saw any growth.i applied it twice each day and didnt look at the back of my head untill 4months had passed.sure enough my hair had grown back.i bought a further 6months supply,keeping to the instructions.i wasnt loseing any hair at all.i bought another 6months supply but this time i only applied it once each day so it lasted me 12 months.i still kept my hair.then i was told that after 2years i would need a stronger solution.this i bought from a boots chemist.there was now, no need to go to a doctor.i paid £70 for the stronger solution.this made my scalp very itchy so i stopped useing it and of course i started to lose my hair.it doesnt work for everyone but i can assure you,it worked for me as long has i kept on useing it.i still have the stronger version of regaine but i dont fancy the itchy scalp problem.
