I’m growing my hair at the moment and it’s in that awful in-between stage, where it’s neither long nor short and can’t remember the last time it saw a style. So I decided it needed some urgent rescuing and booked an appointment with Regis – the hair salon in House of Fraser in Bristol. I have been there twice before and although it is expensive, I have always been very happy with the service and felt it was a nice treat and a good pick-me-up. As I have been ill for 3 weeks now with a bad throat and chest infection, it sounded a good idea all round. It started off well. I was greeted with a nice smile, had my coat taken to be hung up and I was shown ... Read the complete review

It was December and the work Christmas party was approaching, i had two working days left to get my hair a trim. As i had left it so late i decided i would use a large reputable hairdressing company as i wanted a good job done - Regis (By new street station Birmingham) was what i though would be my 'safe bet'. All i needed was a dry trim, no washing, drying, straightening, colours or style. I only had my hour lunch break so wanted to be in and out really. When i first went in, my thoughts were 'right choice'. Both the exterior and interior of the salon were very impressive, not your backstreet sort of salon. Large, modern, beautifully decorated, it just looked ... Read the complete review

<< Who Are They? >> Regis Salons are now all over the country and are very established in the USA too. Some salons offer beauty treatments on top of their usual buisness of hairdressing. << What They Do >> I go to my local Regis salon, (which has no beauty treatments just hairdressing), every 8 weeks or so, and the staff are very friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble. If you are going to be there for a while they make sure you have a supply of magazines and endless cups of tea/coffee to keep you amused while you wait under a dryer, or waiting for a colour to set. They make you feel very pampered and it is ... Read the complete review

Regis hairdressers always seemed a little to pricey and posh for my liking (yes, things can be too posh, even for me) but this Christmas I was given a bit of money, and with nothing much that I wanted to buy for once, I thought I’d spend some of it on a morning at the hairdressers. I went last Thursday because I had a job interview last Friday, and wanted to look respectable for it. I booked 3 or 4 weeks before the appointment and was given a free range of times to suit me – being a Thursday it wouldn’t have been all that busy anyway, and fewer people have hair cuts in January too since they’re all still feeling the pinch from ... I went to the hairdressers yesturday....which now I regret AGAIN! I used to live in Leicester, the hairdressers I used there was brillant in doing what the customer wanted. I would go in with a couple of pictures and my hair was done almost exactly as the pictures were. I went every 6 weeks or so for years and never had a complaint with them. Then a couple of years ago I moved to Colchester, BAD HAIR MOVE! I must point out first, my hair is thin but naturally curly and at the time long. went to three different hairdressers over the first few years just for a tidy up with not much of a problem except they did not seem to know ...
