Advantages: A lovely design with some great benefits, and leaves hair looking shiny and frizz-free!
Disadvantages: Probably the inclusion of the rollers/clips which are not really needed for me personally.
When my hair dryer recently broke I decided to look for a good quality hair dryer, which also didn't break the bank. I was buying off Amazon with my DooYoo vouchers, and there was a good choice to choose from, including the newest model of my now broken hair dryer, however I decided to opt for something different after finding this dryer, and I'm glad I found the Remington Hair Envy Volume & Curl dryer as it's been brilliant.
This hair dryer is a 2000W dryer and isn't as noisy as other dryers. It boasts a ceramic ring and ionic conditioning (popular in modern hair dryers!) which helps reduce frizz and give hair a nicer shine. It has 3 heat and 2 speed switching settings which are very easy to use, and include a cool shot which you press and hld to give a cool shot of hair to help 'set' your hair style. The rear grille of the dryer is removeable and this makes it easier to clean, all you have to do is turn it anti-clockwise to remove, and then turn it clock wise it secure it back on again, thus making sure the grille doesn't get clogged up with dust and hair. The dryer comes with 2 attachments, a concentrator and diffuser, one you will recognise as it comes with the majority of dryers however the other one I have never seen on a dryer before, and I'm actually not sure what it should do! (If anyone does know please tell me!)
This hair dryer set also comes with a volumising brush, 4 velcro rolles and 4 sectioning clips. It all comes packaged in a lovely storage black box which is of a good quality.
When I recieved the dryer I was very pleased with how it came packaged and the storage box is good, and it's easy to put the dryer away after use. The hair dryer itself looks attractive and feels of a good quality. It has a pretty floral design towards the grille side of it which I really like. The dryer has a long barrel so it looks really professional.
Using the hair dryer was easy! It wasn't heavy at all, so I didn't find my arms aching after I dried my hair, and I found it dried my hair really quickly. Having it on the hottest setting it does become rather hot after a while, but switching this down to the 2nd setting quickly gives a cool but still warm blast. It didn't make as much noise as other dryer's I've owned, but it will be impossible to have a noise less hair dryer!
I have naturally wavy/curly but thin hair and ends up looking a mess, using this dryer I still didn't recieve any nice gorgeous curls, which I didn't expect, but I did notice my hair was much less frizzy and it actually felt soft and appeared shiny after use which I am really happy about! My pevious hair dryer was the Babyliss BEliss one which straightens your hair as you dry. I was never happy with the results of that one as my hair ended up feeling dry and actually really frizzy despite it's 'sleek and shiny' claims. This dryer however does deliver that and I find it gives much better results than my previous dryer.
Lastly, this hair dryer is a bargain on Amazon at the moment, costing only £20! Considering this is a large, professional style dryer of a very good quality this really is a bargain not to be missed. I've noticed my previous dryer is around £3 more and it doesn't deliver good results the way this dryer does. If you are in the market for a dryer which dries your hair quickly without drying your hair out and making it frizzy, then I certainly recommend this one!
Summary: A brilliant hair dryer that works perfectly.
