Advantages: Well it lasted 2 years

Disadvantages: You'll definately get better value for money in a more modern hair clipper

This was the first electric razor I ever bought. I bought it with the sole intention of being able to trim my beard to a reasonable style and length. I made a very big mistake of buying before researching. Instead of checking out some reviews and a bit of carefully debated opinion I went on my boss's recommendation. I figured with a beard as well groomed as his he'd know what he was about. Furthermore he was a good barman and I trust good barmen. He said remington are great - get one of those. I did, the only one I could afford.

I bought this model about 2 years ago, Since then the button has fallen off and been glued back on, the blades have dulled and now pull out more than they cut. As soon as I can afford to I will be investing in a new one and reading some reviews on Dooyoo before I do.

I'm not really sure who this product was geared towards except possibly naive plonkers like me. The barber scissors, comb and carry case suggest it's for a professional. However, the razor itself was waterproofed for use in the shower. I don't know how many of you get into the shower with your barber, but I'm not a massive fan of the idea. Somehow I don't think my barber would be either... Further proof of the unprofesional nature of the razor is that it does pinch a fair bit as the blades dull over time.

Cost:
About £25 two years ago. Though I can now see advertised for around £14 in some places.

Technical Specifications:
Waterproof.
Titanium coated blades.
Cordless.
Barbers Scissors.
Barbers Comb.
3mm, 7mm, 8mm, 12mm, 18mm and 25mm blade guard combs.
Left and Right tapered blade gaurd combs.

Overall not a great product really. I'd thoroughly recommmend getting a different one. Probably it's better to spend a bit more and gaurantee a more comfortable shave. Having said all this I don't know what the other Remington shavers are like so this review should say nothing about the brand name overall. I checked out the remington website to get a better idea about the company. They seem to want to sell us their products. That's it. I can't really say I'm impressed.

All the best folks.

Summary: Old and antiquated product from a sell, sell, sell orientated company
