Since the first straigteners were put on the market, i was a keen user as one word which perfectly describes my hair is FRIZZ! As technology developed over the years, i ensure that i always owned the latest, supposedly best model, range and style. This led me to owning a pair of the well known and in some cases, highly criticised GHD'S (good hair day) which are quite expensive. My first pair broke, so i automatically replaced them but them after a few months, i somehow managed to loose my second pair of straigteners. However, at this time in my life, i had little money but at the same time could not bare to continue having hair which mimicked a scraggy busy, ... Read the complete review

I brought this straightner in December 2008 time after my old ones were just rubbish (have written a review on them). ~ My Opinion ~ After getting the straightner out of the box i was pleased with the design, they look really nice (Remington have changed the design so it's not the same as the picture) More on the design later. I switched them on and put them on the temperature i wanted them on, after waiting about 1 minute (was on nearly the hottest temp) they were heated up. I got a section of my hair and the straightner went down it nicely and it felt smooth, that section of hair was very straight, smooth and looked silky and healthy. I contiued ... I was lucky enough to have these wonderful straightners WITH a Remington hair dryer too! It was a Christmas present last year and well boots had some pretty good deals on! The hair dryer alone is fantastic never mind the straightners! They heat up so fast you get just enough time to clip you hair up in sections ready to begin! Although they do take a fairly long time to cool down as long as you leave them in a safe place there shouldn't be any fires, I suppose Remington could have been generous and given us a stand too, but I have found out that the product is sometimes sold with a suede box and pouch. There's also a safety clip that allows you to lock close ... Read the complete review

When my wonderful Remington power ceramics began to die on me, I decided to invest in some hair straighteners that would straighten or curl my hair, as I'd been pleased with the results when my hairdresser curled my hair with straighteners for my wedding day. I have naturally curly hair and spend the vast majority of my life trying to straighten it, but the curls created with straighteners are far more pretty and feminine than my naturally wild Vileda super mop look, and the hairdresser made the style look so easy to recreate. Since I am pretty loyal to Remington, I decided to opt for the same brand again. I'd heard really good things about these straighteners ... Read the complete review

I never used to straighten my hair, after all, i am a lad and it always seemed to be a bit of a girly thing to do. However, as my hairstyles got longer and wilder, i realised i needed something to help keeping it in place; as just hair product was no longer working. I had heard some of my mates talking about straightening so i picked up some fairly cheap straighteners, these cost me about £39 (which compared to the likes of GHD's is an absolute steel) and gave it a whirl. From that point, i have never really looked back since. However, this is a review of this product and not straighteners in general. Having now used a ... Read the complete review
