Advantages: You can curl and straighten your hair with these!
Disadvantages: No comb clips attached
I was lucky enough to have these wonderful straightners WITH a Remington hair dryer too! It was a Christmas present last year and well boots had some pretty good deals on! The hair dryer alone is fantastic never mind the straightners!
They heat up so fast you get just enough time to clip you hair up in sections ready to begin! Although they do take a fairly long time to cool down as long as you leave them in a safe place there shouldn't be any fires, I suppose Remington could have been generous and given us a stand too, but I have found out that the product is sometimes sold with a suede box and pouch. There's also a safety clip that allows you to lock close the straightners!
The heat is incredible ranging from 130degreesc to 200degreesc - you're sure to get your hair straight with these. Not only can you straighten your hair but you can curl, flick and do whatever you want, there's a little booklet that comes free showing you exactly how this can be achieved (through research I've also found out that some come with a DVD!) It just gets better and better doesn't it! I've been through a fair amount of straightners over the years and in the past I've found Remington to be slightly disappointing but these certainly break the mould! They're so easy to use (especially with a 3m cable you can dance and straighten! but that is at your own risk! lol)
It has a digital heat control so you know exactly what heat they're on, no more frizzed, burnt hair! Teflon ceramic-coated plates make it even safer for your hair! The straightners are so slim that even my boyfriend can use them on his 'emo' hair, which is fairly short. As my hair is so think though I do sometimes find it difficult to straighten all my hair with these as it can be time consuming so usually I use other wider straightners for the under layers of my hair and use these slimmer straightners for the top layer and my fringe! It's great, I always used to have the problem of not being able to straighten my fringe, either the straightners were to big or heated up too high making my fringe static, but these do it perfectly!
I've only used the straightners a few times to curl my hair as I have so many tongs etc and I usually just like it straight but on the occasions I have used them to curl my hair it has achieved a very nice effect although it does take some practice. Flicks work great with these too! All in all I think these straightners are fantastic! Definitely a must buy for all you hair mad girls AND boys! I've had a look a round at a few sites and I'm not sure if they still sell in boots but they're easily bought for around £40, which is great value for money!
