Advantages: Makes Your Hair Look Great, Glides Easiley, Nice Design.
Disadvantages: Nothing!
I brought this straightner in December 2008 time after my old ones were just rubbish (have written a review on them).
~ My Opinion ~
After getting the straightner out of the box i was pleased with the design, they look really nice (Remington have changed the design so it's not the same as the picture) More on the design later.
I switched them on and put them on the temperature i wanted them on, after waiting about 1 minute (was on nearly the hottest temp) they were heated up. I got a section of my hair and the straightner went down it nicely and it felt smooth, that section of hair was very straight, smooth and looked silky and healthy. I contiued straightning the rest of my hair and at the end my hair looked really good! It all looked smooth, healthy and silky which is what i wanted, unlike my old straighter which made it static, unhealthy looking, fluffy and horrid!
I was really pleased with the straighter, and even using it almost 3 months on practically everyday it still makes my hair look good! =D
~ The Design & Heat Settings ~
The straightener is now different to the one shown in the picture, it is still black all over but on the top where you can see the heat panel on this picture is now different.
It has a silver panel with 3 red lights on which indicate when it has heated up to the temperature you want it, the on/ off switch is also on silver panel.
It is easy to turn on/off you just have to hold the button down for about 3 - 4 seconds.
The heat switch is on the inside of the straightner, it is a swivel wheel type thing and you just move it left or right to the heat setting you want.
It goes up to 230 degrees, and takes 30 seconds to heat up to a lower temperature.
To open the straigtener there is a button at each side, you have to push one of the buttons in & it will relese opening the tongs and to close it push the tongs together and push the other button it.
~ Other Information ~
The plates are a ceramic, teflon and tourmaline coated, for even heat and easy glide. It also had an auto shut off so if you accidently leave it on it will switch off by itself and an automatic worldwide voltage so you can take it on your holidays and it should work in every country. Also a 3m Swivel cord which is really good as you can move the straightener around pretty much freeley without having to worry about how much cord you have left.
~ Price & Where To Get It ~
I brought mine from Boots, it costs £34.25 and is most definitly worth the money! But i did get mine on a deal as it had 1/3 off and i have seen in on 1/3 off about 3 weeks ago so keep your eyes out for this deal!
If you buy it from Boots keep your recipt because that a ganrentee for a year.
You can also get it from Amazon for £19.99 which is a VERY good price for this product!!
~ Whats In The Box ? ~
In the box you will find the instructions for the product and also a heat case, the heat case is black all over with silver around the edge so it matches the design of the straightener. I have found this really useful, and great for storeing the straightners and it keeps them clean.
The Box is black with a big picture of the straightener on and Remington Proctect & Shine written on the top.
On the bottom of the box is some information about the straightner and on the back other bits & bobs.
This is the best straightner i have used yet and couldn't be without it! I have found no faults atall which is brialliant!
5* Product!!
Summary: Brilliant Straightener!
