      Nice smelling salon-at-home product

This is a review of yet another item received in my beauty advent this December. The Richard Ward Volumiser Root Booster was a hair product I had never tried anthing like before but sometimes I do find my hair looks a bit flat so it was something I was pleased to try.

      Packaging
The volumiser spray comes in a clear plastic bottle and it is easy to use with a spray top lid.

      The claim
The dual-action, multi-tasking spray contains heat & UV protection, humidity defence technology and AQUARICH® a unique advanced moisture compound to help counteract frizz and damage and increase shine. With Wheat Protein and Kukui Oil it leaves you with lustrous, volumous hair with hold, but without residue or stickiness.

      In use
It is best used on towel dried hair but can also be used on dry hair. Separate hair into sections and lifting each section lightly spray Volumiser from roots to mid lengths, holding spray 15-20cm away then blow dry as normal.

      My thoughts
This spray is really fresh smelling and felt like a real salon brand to me. I like the multi tasking comcept of this product and felt it was kind to my hair. A small amount goes a long way so I felt this gave good value for money. Results wise, I used it on wet and dry hair and felt it worked best on wet hair with a blow dry finish. My hair was shiny and smooth with flyaway hairs smoothed and a wonderful waft of fragrance all day. I didn't notice a huge difference to the roots but this may be due to the way I blow dry my hair more than to do with the product so this didn't bother me too much. It din't make my hair go 'crunchy' (I hate that) which was the main thing.

      Price
A 150ml bottle of this costs £13.49 on Salon Services website.

      Final word
I don't have a lot of time to faff with my hair these days but I really did like this product and was pleased with the results. I would consider a purchase when my normal heat defence spray runs out.
