Advantages: very cheap, smells fine, does the job

Disadvantages: none

I usually use a branded conditioner but last time I went shopping I thought I'd give this (much) cheaper product a try.

Sainsburys basics conditioner costs just 26 pence for 500ml of product. It comes in a frosted plastic bottle with a white glossy plastic screw top lid. The lid can be annoying when you are in the shower as a flip top lid is much easier to use but for 26 pence what do you expect!

The product itself is quite thick which I was suprised at as I expected a value product to be thinned down and watery. It is a pale orange colour and smells pleasant and fresh, the fragrance would be suitable for men and women as it is not flowery. On application it rubs well into the hair and rinses out easily. It left my quite dry hair shiny and tangle free after a comb through.

I would probably still use a more moisturising conditioner if I was going out but for everyday use this is absolutely fine-and what a bargain!

Summary: excellent value for money product
