Advantages: Cheap and is a good conditioner!
Disadvantages: None really
When I bought the Sainsbury's shampoo (Please see my review if interested) I had to pick up the matching conditioner of course and priced at 25p a bottle for a 500ml size which is by no means of the imagination small I had to get it to try!
The Packaging:
Well as I have already said it's 500ml in size and a clear plastic sort of cylinder shaped bottle with a large white screw on/off cap to the top of it. Around the middle of it there is a white label with white, orange and black writing on it and on the front of that label I'm told it's Sainsbury's 'Basics' Conditioner 'Conditions, no added frills'. To one side of the label directions for use and safety advice is given, ingredients are listed as are contact details for Sainsburys, size is stated and finally there is a bar-code on there. As is the shampoo it's a cheap looking, economy bottle but it is informative enough and like I suggested on my shampoo review for this same Basics product you can always dispense it into a nice decanter or another bottle if you wish.
Directions For Use:
After shampooing massage conditioner through hair. Rinse thoroughly.
Using It:
Well I washed my hair first and then took a large blob of this runny orangy coloured liquid and as suggested massaged it into my hair really well. Smell wise well I can't really say what it smells of. It does smell light and fresh and I guess a little fruity but it's really light in it's fragrance and in my view suitable for both men or women to use. It distributes easily, felt like it was smoothing and softening my hair as I used it and I left it on for a minute and then rinsed it out.
It rinsed out easily and then I gently dried my hair off. I found my hair easy to comb afterwards and it was left really delicately fragranced. I dried off my hair with the hair-drier and styled it as normal.
Verdict:
This is actually a rather nice day-to day conditioner. It's a bit runny to use but it does soften and condition the hair rather well. My hair after using this felt soft and conditioned and somewhat smoother. I like the way it doesn't over fragrance the hair and leaves my hair with a nice healthy shine with no issues and I'm happy to use this and can't believe it's so cheap!
Only available in Sainsbury's.
Summary: A decent 'cheap' conditioner!
