Advantages: Price, Amount you got, it actually worked, wasn't smelly
Disadvantages: Will need to put into a smaller bottle, left hair dry unless conditioner was used
What is it?-
This is basically a shampoo from the Sainsbury's basic range. No added frills, scents, promises, just a normal shampoo to clean your hair.
Packaging-
This came in a 1 litre bottle, with a big white screw cap and a clear ish bottle. It has a label on the front with "Sainsbury's basics. Shampoo, no added frills" It also has directions, safety, ingredients, helplines and a bar code on the front. The shampoo itself is a peach in colour and not by any means off putting by the colour.
The product itself-
As this bottle was so big, I was worried of spilling it so I did have to put some into a smaller bottle, which can be a downside as you have to find/buy a bottle but also an upside considering you can get so much shampoo for just 26p! I can't put a name to the smell of this shampoo, but it is by no means unpleasant. It lathered very well and I think I need to use less when I use it. It isn't too runny either which is a bonus. The shampoo washed out quite well and didn't leave a nasty smell.
The results?-
Well when I rinsed out this shampoo, I immediately noticed how dry and matty my hair had become, even when wet. I was quite shocked by this but after using a conditioner on my hair, this went away.
After I dried my hair it was just like using any other normal shampoo, it cleaned my hair well, it didn't smell odd, my hair had its usual shine and felt soft (due to the conditioner, mind you).
What did I think?-
Well I was quite surprised at how well this shampoo actually worked, I shampoo my hair twice usually and so works out quite an expensive way of washing my hair with other shampoo's, but at this price I don't mind. I wouldn't reccommend this product for someone who hasn't got time for conditioner, as I couldn't even get my fingers through it and was actually quite notted before I used the conditioner.
Summary: Much better than I expected
