Advantages: Cleanses hair and is cheap
Disadvantages: A few but mainly the smell lol
Anyone who regularly reads my reviews will know I have a love of using children's products. I love kids fragrances of things and I do particularly like to use mild and gentle formulations on my hair particularly when I haven't been using loads of tacky hair products!
The Packaging....
Bright green 150ml plastic bottle with a yellow flip top lid to the top of it concealing a small hole. On the front I'm told what it is and who it is by and there is an odd yellow cartoon character on the front that I can't decide what it is! On the back of the bottle directions for use are given, ingredients and warnings are listed, contact details for Sainsbury's are given and finally there is a bar-code on there. Nice enough child appealing and friendly product this is and it's a good quality bottle priced at only 52p as well!
The Product....
Very, very runny dark green liquid that not only looked like washing up liquid we use in my house but it had a very odd smell to it too. Yes light and slightly smelling of melon I simply wasn't keen from the off.
I drenched my hair with water, splatted a little of this on and found it really struggled to lather up on the first application and simply felt a little slimy. Adding water to it I finally did get the froth going on and was able to wash my hair adequately but the flipping smell it gave off as I went started to make me feel a little on the sickly side for real.
Because I wasn't happy with the results I'd achieved with the first wash, I rinsed my hair thoroughly and re-applied yet more shampoo. This time for some reason it did lather up easily and I found it alot easier to wash my hair with.
It rinsed out with ease, didn't upset my sensitive eyes and once I dried off my hair, hair was left gently fragranced and with no knots and even before drying it my hair looked strong and healthy.
I styled my hair as normal and my hair felt clean and refreshed in a gentle way. The smell thankfully vanished after about an hour and my hair was left feeling smooth, bouncy and full of life. It even had a pleasant soft shine to it and all round I was happy with the results.
Verdict....
Doesn't look too appealing in colour. Isn't the easiest shampoo to get foaming and it stinks rather horrible. All reasons I wouldn't buy this particular shampoo again. However the results on my hair were really good but saying that there are better fragrances in this range that offer great results too so I'd opt for them instead every time over this option!
A reasonably economical product to use this is and it works well at cleansing the hair and leaving it in a smooth, hydrated (though not overly so) condition and what is nice about this is that if your in a hurry you don't have/need to use a separate conditioner as it contains it and it works really well!
Not great, not bad, I'm indifferent to this really! lol.
Only available in Sainsbury's.
Summary: Not bad, not great!
