“ Brand: Sainsbury's / Type: Conditioner „
Sainsbury's water mint conditioner comes in at just under £1 (at the time of writing) for 500ml - seems an absolute bargain.
The product comes in an upright oblong type bottle, white and fairly clear so you can see when the product is getting low. The lid is flip top style, easy to use/open but secure enough to hold in the conditioner when shut. The bottle is recyclable and the lid in some areas depending on your recycler.
Water by name water by nature - I opened up the bottle and went to squeeze some conditioner onto my hands, but it ran out so much that it practically ran threw my fingers! Not to be deterred I closed the lid and shook the bottle thinking this might help - but no, it's still really runny.
I have long hair and I found it difficult to get the product to stay in my hands long enough to reach my head and so ended up using much more product than I would do of a thicker solution - so not really being cost effective. I did think about taking the bottle to my head and turning upside down - but thought this may be to messy, especially since getting these products in your eyes is not recommended or pleasant.
It is a shame because the conditioner does actually work. The conditioner is aimed at dry hair - I have dry hair and yes it works and for the price is good; but only for about 24 hours so if you leave your hair wash for longer it may not be for you.
Smell wise the mint is a spearmint in reality and is ok, but I am not sure I really like it. Some may find it refreshing but I found it a bit sickly after a while.
The conditioner has a long shelf life of 24 months once opened - can never imagine anyone keeps a conditioner for that long?
Would I buy it again? No it's to runny for me
Would I recommend it? No but only because it is so runny!
