Advantages: Works well, Smell

Disadvantages: Sticky Hands!

This opinion is on 'Salon Selectives Styling moose' from Helene Curtis.However, the picture above is 1 of the many different different sorts of Styling mooses available from the range.

Here is the range:

* Moose For Curling
* Moose For Volumising
* Moose For Bodifying
* Moose for Sleek Styling
* Moose For Moisturising

I am writing on the moose I use on a regular basis:
''Salon Selectives Styling Moose For Boosting Curls''

I have been using this product regularly for about 3months now and I find it great! I have natural wavy and curly hair so moose is often needed to boost my style. I tend to switch hairstyles from day to day, I can straighten my hair when I don't want it so BIG or put it up when I need it out of my way but when I don't have much time to do anything with my hair, scrunching it or volumising my waves is a simple proceedure.

This moose is designed to boost curly and permed hair so it suits me down to the ground.

I've tried many mooses and boosting formulas on my hair and I've eventually found 3 that work really well. ~ This being one of them. They are all different brands which is rather interesting.(The other 2 are L'Oreal Studio Line's Moussing curls and Alberto V05's Power Curling Gel ~ I will write on these products too)

After washing and conditioning my hair I towel dry it until it remains only damp. I then spray my roots with Nicky Clarke Hairomatherapy spray as my hair is a little damaged at the moment due to bleach being in it. (You can see a recent opinion of mine on this product if you are interested) I then blow dry my locks, but only for a little while because my hair will start to go frizzy. (You can use frizz ease serum to help this) Then either using my hands or a towel, I scrunch my hair upwards and my curls and waves start to bounce to life!

It is then when my hair is nearly dry, I add my moo
se. This springs my waves and curls into cute, curly ringlets. My hair is then sorted for the day! Sometimes I take my moose out with me so I can boost my style even more when my locks start to look droopy or less bouncy. The moose is a reasonable size and can fit into most of my bags, even the tiniest of bags I own! However, if you're not keen on taking the bottle out with you, your style should remain presentable throughout the day.

What I love about this moose compared to any other is the smell, the smell is very strong and after applying to hair, the room will smell for up to at least 10minutes later! The moose smells of apples and other simalar fruits, cool huh!? It is a bit different but very pleasant and it makes doing your hair so much more fun!

The moose comes in a red bottle and is presented well. Each different type of moose has a different colour logo, this bottle has a yellow logo. The bottle is 200ml and lasts me up to a month, it also comes at an unbeatable price too! I buy this product from Superdrug and it only costs 99p alike all the other mooses in the range too. I think that is superb for something that works and lasts for a reasonable time.

On the back of the bottle it mentions that the moose contains a UV filter and conditioning agents which give added protection to your hair. It also gives 2 tips:

1. Scrunch hair to boost curls. (As I do)
2. Or you can use a diffuser before and after applying the moose.

The moose has a nozzle top with a lid to avoid any mess, therefore application is simple and quick.

Directions: Shake can well, turn upside and squeeze down the nozzle until enough moose is in your palm. Work evenly through damp hair and style as required. DO NOT RINSE OUT.

They recommend for BEST results, use with the Salon Selectives shampoo, conditioner and hairspray.

All is good with this product apart from one thing, you are left with VERY sticky hands! Not to
o much of a big problem, just something to get used to! Hope I've helped, I recommend this product to anyone who has thick curly or permed hair, it works wonders.

Thanks for reading, Best Wishes
